My understanding was Jansen was the backup prior to his departure. The official website doesn't have a depth chart established yet and I'm basically at a loss as to which current OL (other than Rabach) has experience at center.

To that end...if Mike Williams gets in shape could he play center? He would be the largest in the league, maybe the largest ever LOL.

Edwin Williams has the fast track to the job.

Good point. It looks like we don't have one right now.

Edwin Williams, the undrafted rookie center from Maryland, may have the opportunity of a lifetime if he's ready to come in and take the job.

Mike Williams at center would be quite a sight - especially for Jason Campbell.

I think Dock did some time at Center in a pinch a while back. But Mike Williams would be a sight for JC to see!

Wasn't Kendall the backup last year, but they worked Jansen some in training camp due to PK & Rabach ailing?

Id say Williams.

I agree. I think the kid makes the roster (I assume you're talking about Edwin Williams, not Mike). I'd love to see him push Rabach for playing time. I doubt it will happen this year though.

I think Will Montgomery is also looked at as a backup center.

Edwin Williams was a steal to get as an undrafted rookie...I think he will be the starter in a couple years
