Updated: Redskins Release James Thrashdiehardskin2982 06-12-2009, 12:18 PM Maybe making room for another WR at camp? SmootSmack 06-12-2009, 12:18 PM Redskins Release James Thrash (http://www.redskins.com/gen/articles/Redskins_Release_James_Thrash_41258.jsp) Not sure if you all eluded to this or not but he was let go. Will update the thread title DBUCHANON101 06-12-2009, 12:23 PM Moss ARE Thomas Kelly Mitchell Cant wait to see these guys in the preseason. CRedskinsRule 06-12-2009, 12:23 PM Though we had to make this decision, we are confident that James will be involved in some capacity within the Redskins organization. I hope Thrash does stay here in some form. As said often in this thread, he brought a good thing to this team for a long time. This team certainly doesn't seem to be holding on to anyone just for the sake of holding on. I hope that opens the competition level across the board. redskin37 06-12-2009, 12:25 PM Thanks James for being the type of player I enjoy pulling for. Would love to see James stick around as a coach for the young wide outs. Paintrain 06-12-2009, 12:27 PM On the field impact, it should be a really interesting training camp battle for the #5 spot between Mitchell and R. Williams. Off the field, Thrash is the ultimate professional and a class act. I hope Snyder is smart enough to give him a role in the organization (when he retires) to keep him in the fold. KLHJ2 06-12-2009, 12:28 PM Moss ARE Thomas Kelly Mitchell Cant wait to see these guys in the preseason. I would like to see either ARE be put in the slot or released myself. I just think that we are paying him too much for the amount of production that he has had. DBUCHANON101 06-12-2009, 12:31 PM I agree on ARE being released, he led the league in fair catches and hasnt done much as a wr.. KLHJ2 06-12-2009, 12:33 PM You mean his career high in receptions and touchdowns last year? Yeah, he's garbage, off with his head! He is making more money than JC for crying out loud. His career season high numbers weren't that impressive to begin with. He is a slot reciever at best. |
