Wait, Dave Butz is his agent? How the hell did that happen? And what exactly does this thread have to do with the Cowboys again?

First thing I thought of too.

Former WR Jones to Avoid Suspension From the NFL » Jaguars Gab (http://www.jaguarsgab.com/2009/05/26/former-wr-jones-to-avoid-suspension-from-the-nfl/)

Roger Goodell continues to confuse me
Ok I'll explain. Jones was allready suspended by the NFL for breaking the NFL drug rules. Now he is only missing his drug program (which the court made him go to not the NFL) so they find him instead of suspending him again. I'm also pretty sure that theNFL has made him go through their drug program as part of the deal back in 2008.

Unfortunatly you are probably correct. The Courts have certain programs they acknowledge and it's probably not the NFL's. He goes through a program thinking he's good to go cause he can kill two birds with one stone by going to the NFL program and now the courts fined him for not going to one of their acknowledged programs. The NFL can't complain cause he has complied with their standards.

Edit: also I thought the title had something to do with Irvin or another Cowboy also. LOL.

Doesn't that mean this was a second offense? I thought you were suppose to clean up your act while suspended not f-up some more. The reason why I said he confuses me is Goodell claims he wants to clean up the NFL image and rule with a strong arm, but it seems he's not keeping the strong arm consistent. I understand the court thing but he still violated probation by drinking. Goodell treat everyone the same.

So whatever he did wrong it still deserved a fine. So if it deserved a fine how was it not another offense to deserve suspension?

And yes the title is no doubt misleading, clearly points to Irvin. I imagined him caught in some prostitution sting.

I was expecting to see a video clip of Irvin in a hotel room with Eric Allen & 8 crack-whore prostitutes & the 2 of them snorting 8-balls off of the breasts of the hookers. :laughing-

Needless to say, I was disappointed to learn that it was not the case.
