Do you think the skins should take a chance on Vick he has been released officially.
I for one would do it. I would sign him at a low cost and sit him on the bench behind Jason. Great insurance policy if Campbell decides not to stay with us we have a probowl caliber player and he would bring so much to the offense.
The Pro Bowl is over-rated. And so is Mike Vick.

The dog fighting thing isn't the only issue here. Does no one remember him flipping off fans? How about the Ron Mexico incident? Or the failed drug test? This guy is a cancer and that doesn't take into account the dog fighting thing (which I detest with every fiber of my being).
So, in other words, F... NO!
Flipping off fans that probably said some pretty harsh things, we all go to games so we know how "entitled" we as fans feel we are to say what we want because we bought a ticket. I can't excuse it but I can understand it. We don't think about the fact that this man probably was called every thing in the book and he's supposed to take that every week, so one day he flipped off a guy. It's not like in his press conference he said F you to the fans. Ron Mexico, oh you mean when he used a fake name to get medicine ? Cancel that one. Failed drug test ? For what weed ? Laughable. Cancer ? I think that is going just a bit too far. I swear fans use that word too quickly.

YESSSS don't worry you will get torched for writing this thread but I support it 100%. He is a phenomanal athlete and I would love to see him as a skin. It would be a steal because you could get him for so cheap

I never remember Vick failing any drug test. I do know a guy who lives down the street from him and his wife was saying that they have had a ton of traffic in their neighbor hood from all the media hanging out infront of his home.

Agreed! Rule No.#1. Never pick him in FFB!
But mheisig had this to say a while ago over in this thread: http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/21350-vick-sentenced-to-23-months-prison.html
"23 months actually doesn't sound that bad.
I have a feeling he'll be back at some point."
I think the months in prison will affect MV's game, although Riggo did not seem affected after his time away from the game years ago. But playing RB is different than playing QB.

<H5>Failed drug test while free on bail
While free on bail, Vick tested positive for marijuana in a random drug test. This is a violation of the conditions of his release while awaiting sentencing in federal court for his felony conviction. Vick's positive urine sample was submitted September 13, 2007, according to a document by a federal probation officer that was filed in U.S. District Court on September 26.
As a result, U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson ordered Vick confined to his Hampton, Virginia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampton,_Virginia) home[45] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Vick#cite_note-44) between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. with electronic monitoring until his court hearing date in December. He also was ordered to submit to random drug testing.
Co-defendant Quanis Phillips was incarcerated earlier after his August 17 plea hearing because he had failed drug tests with monitoring equipment and regulations already in place

Ok, now I remember that I was thinking more along the lines of failing an NFL drug test.

But why was he flipping off fans, because his play on the field was crud and worth getting called every name in the book. Please let him go somewhere else.

But as to the Ron Mexico thing, I was referring to the Lawsuit that was brought about because he knowingly gave a chick an STD. She listed it as his alias. And the failed drug test isn't about weed. Its about failing ANY drug test while your out on bail. Is he really that dumb?

Would love to see him here. Watched him live in highschool, followed him in college and enjoyed watching him in the pros. However i dont see how he would fit in our system and Zorn has pretty much gone on record saying he wouldn't even consider the wildcat offense.
While i don't believe in dogfighting we all know he was used as an example and has certainly paid his dues. Tempted to go drive by his house, idk feel like a stalker haha.
