Rank the NFC East teams position by position....

So everyone thinks Jeremy Maclin makes the Eagles have the best WR corp in the division, maybe the fastest but not the best.

More DeSean Jackson but Maclin helps. Still part of it relates to how there isn't much competition at this spot among the 4 teams.

QB: Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, NY Giants I believe that, looking at the careers of Campbell and of Eli, that Campbell is already the better of the two. Sure, Eli's 2008 was the best season either of them had, but that looks like an anomaly in his career numbers. I also think that Campbell can be better than McNabb, very, very soon, but out of respect to the established player, Campbell takes a back seat for now.

RB: Dallas, Philadelphia, NY Giants, Washington I'd take Portis over Jacobs, but it's close enough to the point where the depth favors the Giants.

WR: Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington, NY Giants Again, really close between the G-men and the Skins (both will rely heavily on young receiving), but as inconsistent as Santana is, he'd be the best WR on the Giants.

TE: Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, NY Giants Both Dallas and Washington go two deep with starting caliber players, but Witten might be the best TE in football.

OT: Philadelphia, NY Giants, Washington, Dallas God, when will people realize that Flozell Adams is quite terrible.

OG: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington Putting this in perspective, the Cowboys are paying a lot of money to Leonard Davis to stabilize this position. He's no Chris Snee or Shawn Andrews though.

C: NY Giants, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington I don't think Jammal Jackson or Andre Gurode is all that at Center, but the other two are getting up there in age.

DT: Washington, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas This is a great DT division. Best in the league, and it's really not even close. We're the best, though.

DE: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Washington, Dallas I realize Dallas is a 3-4, but man, they get zero push from this position.

OLB: Dallas, Washington, NY Giants, Philadelphia Demarcus Ware is really the only player of note at this position in the entire division.

MLB: Philadelphia, Washington, NY Giants, Dallas It was very close between Fletcher and Pierce, but age is being much harder on Pierce than it has been on Fletch.

CB: Washington, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas Dallas' best No. 2 might end up being one of their rookies. Very strong position across the board in this division.

S: Washington, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas This ranking is predicated on Landry having a better year than Kenny Phillips.

Special Teams: Dallas, Philadelphia, NY Giants, Washington Punting situation should be much improved this year, but they have a long way to go after last year.

GTripp, I am surprised you have Romo as the best qb in the division. I think he is highly overrated, and while his numbers impress, the loss of TO will really highlight his flaws. I would not be shocked for his INTS to skyrocket and his TD's plummet this year.

QB: Redskins, Eagles, Giants, Cowboys
You can save this thread because I am predicting Campbell is gonna make the quantum leap this year. He will be the QB that he was in the first half of last season, but this time it will last the whole season. McNabb because of age will slip, he will not have the mobility or arm strength that he had in the past. Eli and Romo have lost thier number 1 recievers and that will have a tremendous effect on the how defenses play them.

RB: Giants, Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles
This position is what makes the Giants go and the last time I checked they still have a 6-4 265 pound beast in Jacobs playin on that team. They only lost one piece of the 3 headed monster, and it wasn't the most important piece. The Boys have a lot of talent, the skins backs are aging. Although the eagles drafted a great running back I don't put much stock in rookies, history has shown that they either get injured or have so/so years.
WR: Skins, Cowboys, Giants, Eagles
If DT and MK step up this is a very dangerous group, they have size, speed, and talent. Hopefully we will live up to it. Cowboys have Williams who is better than other number 1 WR's in the division. Eagles have talent but they lack maturity. Giants look lost on paper
TE: Redskins, Cowboys, Giant Eagles
I put the redskins first because they got the depth and talent at the position. Whitten is great for the boys. Boss is okay, and I dont even know who the eagles have.
OL: Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Skins
This area was the downfall of the skins and until they show progress I have to put them last. The Giants lines are what brought them a championship. Boys have the biggest line in football, and the eagles are a question mark.
DL: Redskins, Giants, Cowboys, Eagles
Haynesworth is a difference maker. we will see a major difference in our line. Giants have a great amount of talent on their line, I believe however the loss of Spags will have the biggest effect on this group. Boy have a good line. Eagles whole defense is in jepordy with the health of their coordinator, i feel he is the heart of this defense.
LB: Cowboys, Skins, Giants, Eagles
Cowboys have one of the best in Ware, and I think Brooking is a good pickup. Skins Fletcher, McIntosh, & Orakpo looks good on paper. Giants are pretty good with Pierce, and the eagles need to develop.
Secondary: Skins, Eagles, Giants, Cowboys

He's been in his prime for awhile now (he's 29), so I don't see him getting much better than he is now.

When I break down Romo's passes from last year, the trends are startling. Almost zero of his most valuable completions went to wide receivers. Consistently, Romo was best throwing to his tight ends and backs. Little things like that tend to be the mark of good quarterbacking.

If Campbell explodes this year, I expect to see a similar trend: Cooley and Fred Davis with tons of positive value plays, a great receiving year from Portis, quality contributions from Betts and Sellers, and then the status quo from the WRs.

That should yield the breakout, as long as the status quo with the WRs looks something more like a set of standard NFL receivers, and less like whatever last year's impersonation was.

Romo's QB ratings in his three years are 95.1, 97.4, and 91.4, so he's definately going to hang around in the top ten for some time.

Eli has 77.0, 73.9, and 86.4 over the same timeframe.
McNabb has 95.5, 89.9, and 86.4 despite a gradually improving supporting cast. He's in decline.
And Campbell: 76.5, 77.6, and 84.3, or pretty much exactly Eli, but with a declining cast.

Opinions ....everyone has them,...maybe you should have swept the Giants but ya didn't .I'm trying to understand ....this year hasn't been played so we base our opinions on the last season played,correct,yet the Giants won the divison and had one of the best O lines in the league yet you rank them third ,2 running backs over 1000 yards and we are the worst RB team in your opinion.Romo has'nt won crap and yet you put Eli behind Romo,the only thing I will agree with you on is our WR's and DB's,basicly the rest is .........strickly opinion.

Yes we should of swept them in 2007. We didnt I know this. I only said it because I didnt think a comment like the Giants have owned the Redskins over the last few years made any sense to me if you actually look at the games.

I rank my players and positions on alot of different factors. Yes the Giants won the division last year but last time I checked teams have made roster moves since the end of the 2008 season.

The Eagles offensive line should be great this year with the additions they have made. The Cowboys or Giants you could flip a coin on. They both have solid lines. I decided to give the Cowboys the edge.

Yes the Giants had two 1000 yard backs last year but last time I checked one of them plays for the Tampa Bay Bucs now. With Felix Jones healthy to pair with Marion Barber I gave the Cowboys 1. I think the Skins with Portis and the Eagles with Westbrook are better than Brandon Jacobs.

Yes Romo hasnt won crap but if you want to get into the nitty gritty Eli was carried to his SB win. Hell he got two gifts by the Patriots on the GW drive in that game. (Dont get me wrong I was so happy when the Pats lost im just saying that Eli didnt win it for them) I think Romo has way more ability and honestly hes the better QB.

No doubt everything I have ranked in my OP is opinion. Its nothing personal against the Giants. If it was personal id have the Eagles at 3 and the Cowboys at 4. I hate them both alot more than the Giants. :)

This thread takes way too much thinking. I don't get why you rank Romo over Eli when Romo has never won a playoff game and Eli really came on strong in the playoffs and the SB. You have to remember that pass when Eli was all but sacked and some how got away and got the ball to hisWR who made a hugh catch. Then in the final minutes hit Mr shot myself with the winning TD. I know Eli has look bad at times but when it counted he did his job and Romo two times has failed his team.

I honestly think Romo is far and away a better QB than Eli Manning. If you put Romo on that Giants team that year they win the SB and actually score more points. Last year I think Romo also played better than Eli.
