Summer is the time for dreams, i suppose. I'm going in with ZERO expectations this year, just like last year.

Giantone, a couple questions:
What puts Phillips above Zorn in coaching? Are you giving preference to experience? I would rank WP at the bottom of the HC's even with Zorn's inexperience. WP has a long track record as a coach, unable to win when the games "counted". Zorn's play
calling and coaching both were decent last year, and should improve. I agree with Reid and Coughlin being better than both.

Also you rank Dallas too low :vomit: on place kicking/special teams. They have solid Kickers, and Felix Jones if healthy will be a weapon on STs.

The Giants lost Ward and Plaxico, those are two heavy blows in critical positions. I think they would be either last or tied for last in the running back position despite last years success.

Finally, how can the Giants TE position be above the Skins? Not sure I get that one at all.

I like Zorn , give him some time and he'll be very, very good.Phillips has had some more sucsess.
As for Dallas kickers ...they lost their punter in the Cardinal game and the PK had some chips he missed.
Your'e right about the Giants missing those two ,but as I said I can't predict the future so I base my opinions (only opinions) on last year.
I LOVE Cooley(his Heart),yet he had more fumbles and I don't think he blocks as well as Boss.

I think Wade's success is limited to regular season, and usually with teams built by others. But I can accept Zorn has not proven much more either, and we can't know if he learned from last year.

I know you can't predict the future, but the rankings should reflect actual losses. Just like the Skins DBs lost Springs, and will be lessened in pure coverage skills, I think the Giants loss of Ward will lessen their running attack. He was an important part of your 3 prong attack.

Cooley may have had more fumbles last year, but it was only because we rely so heavily on him in critical situations that it was so noticeable (my opinion). Don't know enough about Boss' blocking, but I would certainly take our group of TE's over any other group in the East.

QB-Philly, NYG, Washington, Dallas; Romo takes a big step backwards without T.O. and Campbell takes a big step forward. McNabb is far and away the best in the division.

RB-Dallas, Washington, NYG, Philly; Barber, Jones and Choice could all start for some teams. Portis puts up his normal 1,300-11 TD season.

WR-Washington, Philly, Dallas, NYG; Surprisingly I feel like we have the fewest questions at WR. Philly and NY are putting a lot of faith in rookies and in Dallas, Roy Williams hasn't proven anything to show he's going to be a reliable #1.

TE-Dallas, Washington, Philly, NYG; Witten is one of the best in the game, Cooley not far behind him. The drop off is precipitous after those two.

OL-NYG, Philly, Washington, Dallas; Why Washington over Dallas? They are actually OLDER and more injury prone than our OL. I like Dockery coming back and think Heyer will solve our RT questions.

DL-NYG, Dallas, Washington, Philly; With Osi coming back the Giants are going to be really scary up front. Haynesworth helps but you can count on him and Griff missing 2-4 games each year so you've got to discount them somewhat.

LB-Dallas, NYG, Washington, Philly; Ware is the best pass rusher in the league, NYG have 3 solid starters and decent depth.

CB-Washington, Philly, Dallas, NYG; Hall and Rogers are slightly better than Samuels and Hobbs. Dallas is counting on development in the 2nd year from some players and NYG is solid but not great.

S-Washington, NYG, Dallas, Philly; Landry/Horton/Moore puts them above the rest of the division. Probably our strongest unit.

ST-Philly, Dallas, NYG Washington; DeSean Jackson is the difference maker here. Dallas has the best kicker/punter combo, we've still got question marks at K and in the return game.

Coaches-NYG, Philly, Washington, Dallas; Pretty simple Coughlin won a SB, Reid has been to a Super Bowl, I like Zorn in his 2nd year more than Phillips who is the most obvious lame duck in the NFL.

Overall-NYG, Washington, Philly, Dallas; The Giants are still the class of the division until proven otherwise. I expect improvement in year 2 of Zorn's offense and the additions to our defense should make us more dangerous in terms of sacks and turnovers. Philly was dead in the water last November before making a nice run but over the last 4 years they are only one game better than us in the W-L column. Dallas lost their best player on offense, didn't do much in FA or the draft and have the look of an overrated 6-10 bust.

QB - Eagles/Cowboys/Giants/Redskins
RB - Eagles/Redskins/Giants/Cowboys - This one is really close
WR - Eagles/Cowboys/Redskins/Giants
TE - Cowboys/Redskins/Eagles+Giants
OL - Eagles/Cowboys/Giants/Redskins

DL - Giants/Redskins/Eagles/Cowboys
LB - Don't know enough about this one to pass judgement
DB - Redskins/Eagles/Giants/Cowboys

You can see why the Eagles are considered the favorite to win the division this year.

So everyone thinks Jeremy Maclin makes the Eagles have the best WR corp in the division, maybe the fastest but not the best.

I heard a lot of analysts say that he's going to have to learn how to run routes in the NFL and no-one really considered him a prototypical WCO receiver. Somehow though once he got drafted he's an instant Pro-Bowler if you listen to the ESPN & NFL radio talking heads.

This thread takes way too much thinking. I don't get why you rank Romo over Eli when Romo has never won a playoff game and Eli really came on strong in the playoffs and the SB. You have to remember that pass when Eli was all but sacked and some how got away and got the ball to hisWR who made a hugh catch. Then in the final minutes hit Mr shot myself with the winning TD. I know Eli has look bad at times but when it counted he did his job and Romo two times has failed his team.
