LOL,so what does it mean?Haters .....got to love em!:smashfrea

Haters? Dude I said earlier I was happy the Giants beat the Patriots. It was the greatest non-Redskin football game I have ever watched. I loved how the Giants whipped those Cheatriots asses.

Im just saying I dont think one SB run by Eli and the Giants means hes a better QB than Romo. I dont hate Eli im just stating my opinion. Romo the last three years has been better than Eli. I will give Eli some credit and say that he has closed the gap between them.

Wouldn't shock me at all.

I think with each team it'll come down to who's hot and avoids crucial injuries.

Yeah the NFC East once again should be fun to watch. All four teams have the talent to compete for the NFC East Title if things break right.

LOL,so what does it mean?Haters .....got to love em!:smashfreaIt, uh, doesn't mean anything. It's a nice trivia fact to know if there's ever a game show that asks the question.

I was responding to a point that people think Romo is better then Eli.................no.Oh and yeah it means something, there isn't one QB out there that wouldn't give his right arm(lol) for a SB MVP and a ring...........they would give every QB rating under the sun back .

Yes it does, isn't that what all this is about ...going to the Super bowl?A QB rating means squat, you might play in a bad climate and that effects your rating ...who knows, how many times did a WR or RB tip a ball in the air for an INT,maybe you ran a boat load.Romo had a great team all around him and when it matter he choked.I would say Marino or Tarkington would give back some of thier ratings ..or records for a ring. You don't think one super bowl run matters, well how many fans or players would love to have had the run Eli and that team had.QB ratings were something invented by fantasy football players.they mean nothing becuase at the end of the season it's wins and loss's.

But if you threw Romo and Eli onto the same roster, most people would agree that this hypothetical team would be more likely to win games with Romo in than Eli. Thus, the conclusion is that Romo is better. That's just common sense.

I don't think many people are convinced that Romo is a top three QB, I don't even know if he's top five (Brees, Brady, Rivers, Peyton...and then who?), but clearly, he's more accomplished as a player than Eli is. EVERY SEASON Romo has ever played has been more productive than the very best season Eli has had. Eli got the one super bowl opportunity between the two of them, simply because the Giants are a better run organization than the Cowboys. Not because of inherent greatness. Chances are, if Accorsi had been there to build the Cowboys, post-Parcells, Romo would have a ring right now.

Yes a SB Title is what its all about in the team aspect of things. Looking at both QBs over the last 3 years all im saying is Romo has played better. Just because Eli has a ring doesnt mean hes better than every QB that doesnt have one in the NFL right now. Thats not how anyone with common sense looks at QBs.

I cant rank Eli ahead of Romo looking at their career and recent numbers. A four game stretch in the playoffs doesnt overshadow both of their careers to date. When you say Marino or Tarkenton would give up their numbers for a ring it really does prove my point. Marino was probably the best pure passer to ever play the game but you want to knock him because he didnt win a ring? A Super Bowl ring is a team accomplishment. Just because someone has won one doesnt mean they are better than a QB with better numbers through his whole career.

Ive seen times when HOFs have said they would rather have a SB ring but ive seen other times where HOF's have said they would rather have the HOF ring.

Yes all players want to win the SB but whos career would you rather have Dan Marino's or Trent Dilfer's. I think any great player will say they wanted to win the SB but they probably arent going to give up why they were great to have a SB ring or SB MVP. They did everything they could to win one but realize its a team game. When you grow up as a kid its to be the best and guys like Dan Marino and Fran Tarkenton were right up there with the best that ever played the game.

The 2007 Giants had the best performance by a defense ever for one game imo in SB42 and somehow the Giants had to squeak out a 17-14 win. Even when the Giants did score Eli had little to do with it. Hell Boss set up the Tyree TD by taking a Eli pass and running most of the way. Then even though Eli did a nice job getting away from the Patriot rush he needed the greatest catch ever by a WR to setup the GW TD. A GW TD that probably shouldnt of happened since Eli should of been INTed twice and he fumbled once on that drive. I mean damn even the TD Burress caught was easy. All Eli had to do was chuck the ball up over a out of position CB.

I really think you are overhyping Elis impact on that SB team and overhyping the impact that SB win means to his talent as a QB. Hell if all you got to do to be a great QB is ride your teams coattails to a SB then Trent Dilfer was alot better than most people thought also.

.
First lets remember ...were talking NFC East......not top 5 in the league.
No most people wouldn't agree,Romo has become a running joke ,for that matter so have the rest of the Cowboys.Common sense is to go with whoever gives you the best chance to winand that is Eli not Romo.

Dude im not a hater. Ill just stop posting in this thread because you are bringing up no facts except that Eli won SB MVP. If you think that makes him a great QB and better than QBs with better numbers yearly so be it.

Well I'll say,I do not like Eli nor do I respect him as he was drafted #1 overall due to his last name(Peyton is the only one worth mentioning)and in that draft I'd take Rivers or Roethlisberger over him in an instant without a hesitation.

Eli is entering his first season w/o Plax or any resemblance of a #1 WR and I cannot wait to see the true Eli come out.

Eli is 0-2 vs the Eagles in the playoffs and thats all I need to see.
