I agree I think ARE is better to play in the slot. I hope we will use ARE in a wild kat formation in the redzone or maybe short yardage. His ablity to pass the ball can open our offense up and give teams defenses more to prepare for.
I have no problem with giving Randle El a pass every now and then. I hope we dont run the Wildcat though because imo its way overrated and really makes the NFL look retarded. Ive read a couple times that Zorn doesnt like the Wildcat and im oh so happy. The Wildcat had its brief moment in the sun but in all honesty those plays are something any defense should stop. Looking at the stats week by week last year defenses chewed it up as the year went on. If im a defensive coordinator please put your RB or WR at QB as many times as possible. Any offense that doesnt put the ball in the QBs hands every snap to either hand it off or make a play with his arm makes little sense to me.

Who cares about all that winning % stuff? Hmm let me think. Oh snap. Winners do. :laughing2
All im saying is for someone to tell me Eli is better than Romo is funny. He isnt better than Romo in anything. Yes Eli is a Super Bowl winning QB but hey so is Trent Dilfer.
Comparing Terry Bradshaw to Eli Manning is kinda stupid. For starters comparing a QB who played in the 1970s to a QB who plays in this era is laughable. Second, I realize Bradshaw might be overrated to a extent but hes a HOFer. Eli wont sniff the HOF unless hes brown nosing his brothers greatness.
I never said Eli was better. I just think when his team needed him to play his best he did. Overall I think Romo is a more talented player.
And I wasn't comparing Manning to Bradshaw, I just used Bradshaw as an example that he was never really a great passer, he was just great when his team really needed him to be. But I never compared the two.

When someone calls a QB a streaky passer I have always found that to be a bad thing. Saying McNabb is a streaky passer is kinda perplexing when he has a 82-45-1 career record and has a 194-90 TD-INT ratio in the regular season. McNabb has also led his team to 5 conference championship games and one Super Bowl appearance.
I think McNabb is one of the top QB's in the NFL. I also think when it comes to passing he's streaky. He's hot and cold. I think most would agree w/ that statement. I don't think that's a bad thing. I think he's always been that way as a pure passer.

I know you didnt. The post you quoted was the one I was using to compare Eli and Romo to another poster. I was just referring to why I brought out those stats.
As for Bradshaw I agree he may of never been a great passer so I understand why you brought him up to compare. I just didnt think it was the best comparison since Bradshaw really stepped up in big games and Eli overall hasnt. Yes Eli had a solid 2007 playoff run and won the Super Bowl with the Giants. I just think besides the wild card game against the Bucs he really didnt do anything great except play a safer game. Even then if certain defenders caught his wild throws the Giants wouldnt be world champs.

Maybe in some games he has been streaky. To a certain extent all QBs go through certain moments. I just think there is a difference between Elis "streaky" and McNabbs "streaky".

Lets not forget that Eli has been one and done in 3 of his 4 attempts in the playoffs(twice at the hands of the Eagles).
The year before and after their SB run.
`05 vs Panthers 0-24
`06 vs Eagles 17-20
`08 vs Eagles 11-23

As is Campbell, just to throw his name in there somehow.

...ill go get his reservation for Canton. Im sure that one SB MVP Trophy will negate his 76.1 career QB rating. Because the way you keep hyping him up he must be Canton bound. :laughing2

Never said one word about HOF, just pointing out facts that others tend to forget.McNabb maybe he will go to the HOF but he has no ring, and well as for Romo............LOL...sorry,Campbell is still young...and as I said I like the kid, just give him an O line.
