What NFL teams do you have your eye on this year?

With this time in between the Draft and Training Camp I have a question for fans on this board. Besides the Redskins what other teams do you have your eye on heading towards this upcoming season? It can be for different reasons. Maybe you think a team is going to breakout or maybe a team that has been good might fall apart. Or maybe there are certain storylines for a team heading into the 2009 season that you find interesting?

Heres some teams I have my eye on for this upcoming season...

Dallas Cowboys - I want to see how the Cowboys and Tony Romo adjust without Terrell Owens. I think if they become more of a running team and set up the playaction pass they might have a better record than last year. Or maybe Romo falls apart and the Boys struggle again to overcome their demons.

Minnesota Vikings - If Brett Favre comesback I want to see what impact he will have on the Vikings. Can he be the final piece to a Super Bowl or will he struggle like he did in the 2nd half with the Jets?

Chicago Bears - The addition of Jay Cutler to go along with a player I was high on last year in the draft Matt Forte should bring a nice run/pass punch this year. If the Bears can get some improvement from their WRs this should be very fun to watch.

San Francisco 49ers - Mike Singletary is a great coach imo and I cant wait to see him continue to improve the 49ers. I wouldnt be shocked if the Cardinals and 49ers both make the playoffs this year out of the NFC West.

Houston Texans - Playing in a tough division has been hard for the Texans but they have alot of talent on their roster. If they stay healthy the Texans could be a sleeper going into 2009.

Oakland Raiders - They probably wont be very good this year but they have alot of young talent. I want to see how players like JaMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden progress this year. If their offense can show a pulse and help out the defense they could win some more games this year.

What teams do you guys have your eyes on?

Texans - always seem right on the edge of doing well. may be a good yr for them
Bears - Cutler and Iglesias-the wr i wanted us to get in the 3rd- could be interesting in Chi town with Forte and that defense-even though they are getting old
Jets - New QB, new defense, can Rex put these guys in a battle with NE for 1st?
Broncos - Well we get to see just how QB friendly this offense really is. Or was it just Brady and those all star wr's makin it look easy and now we see another NE coach not have the same success elsewhere?

Jets with Rex ryans defense and Bart Scott mark sanchez at QB (if he can be like matt Ryan or close to him his rookie year) darelle revis and the rest of their sick secondary and how will vernon gholston under ryans defense is he the next suggs? Probably not but still..

Chicago with cutler cause he could have been our QB along with sanchez (above)

Minnesota with harvin and them with rosenfals and or favre is better than them with Jackson at QB

Colts with all their losses to their coaches

Miami if they can have a year like last year

New england to hope that Brady and or moss gets injured so they don't go to the super bowl

Eagles with another great rookie WR and two new tackles if they're gonna be better or worse

Saints with gregg Williams ad their defensve coordinator

Arizona coming off a super bowl

Chiefs under pioli and Haley

Steelers coming off a super bowl

Cowboys better or worse without TO

Falcons will they be better or worse in year two with matt Ryan

Green bays new 3-4 D with clay Matthews and BJ raji

Houstons defense, will it be better, cause they're offense is good

And of course the REDSKINS, what will haynesworth play like and will our OL hold up for the year, and how will Campbell do in his final contract year and in year two of zorns offense, how will Malcolm Kelly and Devon Thomas and fred Davis do this year, is horton a one year wonder, where will orakpo play on defense and how good will he be, and which of the rest of our draft picks do or stick out besides orakpo, and will we make a playoff run our be the cardinals of last year??

Skins first.

Looking forward to seeing what the Chiefs do now that they have a new crew in KC.
What will the Pats do now that Brady will be back.
Cards- can they repeat last year's success.

Agree with those..plus

Texans: Can they finally take that next step to the playoffs?

Jaguars: Will they bounce back from a disappointing 5-11 when many had them as possible Super Bowl contenders

Colts: How will the loss of Dungy, Moore, and Harrison impact them?

Lions: In-laws are from Detroit

What teams do you guys have your eyes on?

Nice thread.

Chiefs-
I wonder what their offense will look like with Cassel instead of Thigpen, they have the same OC in Chan Gailey who did what i thought was the most impressive job of coaching by implementing the college spread offense with a 3rd string QB
i loved watching the Chiefs the second half of the season, imo they had the most exciting offense in the NFL

*Plus Haley seems to work wonders with his receivers Terrel Owens, Boldin, Fitz

Bengals-
Does Marvin Lewis finally have the peices to field a good defense?
Will Rey Maualuga make teams pay for passing on him?
Will Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson bounce back from their injuries?

Cowboys-
Do they really think they'll be better w/o TO i don't

Jets-
Will Rex Ryan be able to turn the Jets into the Raven's North?

Bears-
Will Cutler be able to come in and light it up w/o receivers as talented as Marshall and Royal?

Vikings-
I think Brad Childress is a weak HC the way he caved in to pressure and benched Tavaris Jackson was pathetic.
Will T-Jack be able to take command of that team or does he get beat out by Sage Rosenfels or does the team do the unthinkable and go after Favre?

Broncos-
I want them to fail, worse then i want the Cowboys to fail.
McDaniels is far too smug for a rookie HC and i think some hard lessons are in store for that one

Raiders-
I hope they don't ruin a good kid in Darius Hey-Bey-Bey
