ok i'm just throwing this out there, sean taylor weighs about 20 pounds less than lavar arrington he also weighs 5 pounds more than lemar marshall. he's faster and just as strong. you guys know what i'm getting at put sean taylor in there at practice and see what happens. we did this at my school last year and it worked very well.

I think its time to unlease sean tayler, not at linebacker, but at his normal position. Lets see what he can do as a full time starter.

Don't worry Taylor will start and see much action w/ the absence of #56. Reading the INJ list is depressing, but I believe.

they wont put Taylor in at linebacker, but Williams may play a nickel most of the game and add Harris or Lott to cover Bryant. then have Bowen or Taylor move up for run support or to blitz.
So Taylor has been held back thus far because he's not totally familiar with the system and now we should have him learn a new position? Probably not gonna happen.

I think Taylor has been held out so far to humble him a little bit, with the hope that it would make him a better player in the long run. I like what we have been doing with him, but these are desperate times, its the perfect oppurtunity for him to introduce himself to the nfl.

While I don't disagree completely, I think Williams' 1st priority is to play whoever gives us the best chance of winning, and for the first two weeks that has been to start Lott over Taylor. But I think it is time for him to get Sean more involved, and with Lavar out, even though he plays a different position, it is the perfect time to give him the opportunity to step it up and make an impact like he did in preseason.
Maybe humbling him is a part of it, but I think most of it is due to Williams not being 100% confident in him just yet.
Especially with this aggressive system, it really puts a lot of pressure on the DB's and they really have to know what they're doing.
Taylor isn't known for being a film room junkie, so perhaps this is Williams' way of trying to nudge him in that direction just a bit.

I have no clue why Taylor isn't on the field more, but there is no doubt that Taylor is an amazing athlete. As he gets more time on the field it will be harder to take him off, because the guy is going to make plays.
It undoubtedly didn't help for Taylor to get beat deep by Galloway in week 1. His time will come though, and the defense will be better when it does.
