Traitor!
....just kidding.
....just kidding.
Jason Taylor to re-sign with the DolphinsSkinny Tee 05-13-2009, 01:51 PM Traitor! ....just kidding. GTripp0012 05-13-2009, 01:53 PM Well, who saw this coming last year? I'm sure a lot of people, just not many Skins fans. mredskins 05-13-2009, 01:56 PM I think JT cheated on his wife when he was in Washington and she found out…and basically told him if you leave us again to play in Washington I will divorce you and take ½ of what you own…plus spousal support and ask for full custody of our children (not to mention destroy your marketability). BUT…if you stay in Miami I will forgive you knowing I will have you on lockdown and you only have 8 weekends a year away from us of which we will be going with you since the kids don’t have school on weekends. GTripp0012 05-13-2009, 01:57 PM I think JT cheated on his wife when he was in Washington and she found out…and basically told him if you leave us again to play in Washington I will divorce you and take ½ of what you own…plus spousal support and ask for full custody of our children (not to mention destroy your marketability). It was as much of a football decision to cut Jason Taylor and reinvest his salary when they couldn't agree on an extension as anything else. wilsowilso 05-13-2009, 02:01 PM I'm gonna go ahead and give that trade a non opossable thumbs up! SmootSmack 05-13-2009, 02:03 PM I'm sure we'll be talking about this in 2019...the move backfired on us, it sucks, you move on. Hopefully we will have the same success with the return of Dockery that many are predicting the Dolphins will have with Taylor redsk1 05-13-2009, 02:10 PM We got hosed on this one. Big time. Memo to VC: Please get all the details done on a trade BEFORE you make the trade! Don't change the rules mid way thru. You cost us a 2nd rounder. JT was never going to do his offseason workouts in DC. You would think we knew this going in. Bill B 05-13-2009, 02:17 PM Well good thing the Dolphins will not also be getting any of the Skins 2010 draft picks for the guy. That would really be a punch to the gut ... oh, wait ... What else did we give up besides the 2nd rounder - was it a 6th rounder in 2010? Riggo44 05-13-2009, 02:18 PM The Dolphins sucked the year before J.T. left and with the schedule they have this year they’ll be lucky to win 8 games. Who really cares about J.T at this point? We F up getting him last year this much is obvious now. But it seemed like a good deal for both teamsat the time. J.T. just couldn’t stay on the field. I’m not really bent out of shape over the whole thing. I just wish I had so much money I could piss away 7 million! Bill B 05-13-2009, 02:21 PM Ok he needs his head examined. He basically gave up 7.4 mil so he could spend an extar 24 days this ONE offseason with his kids. I lvoe my kids a lot but for 7.4 mil I'll miss them for a month and never look back. FRPLG - I agree completely with you - having an extra $7.4 million for some extra wrokouts was way worth his time. I am surprised he is coming back for only $1.1. million - from what I heard he wants to go into broadcasting and he could probably pull close to a million doing that than busting his tail and risking injury playing football - especially at his age and position. From this whole ordeal lets hope that we never have 2 season ending injuries to a single position for a long time on the first day of practice. |
