Do you think there are points in there I can associate with our Republic and Republicans party?Absolutely, that's why I think it's counter-productive for those on the right to show up with "No Nazi" signs in this debate. Those that are doing that aren't racist, anti-Semites, but they're hurting rational arguments against Obama Care.

Cornyn letter is false in both substance and context. Whose information are they going to collect? The person that is forwarding you the email or the people listed in the CC who are mostly forwarding the email too? What is the point of this exercise? If you really want to spy on the American people you already have that with the NSA and it's new found power of data mining, that would be the best way to go instead of tracking down people in chain emails.

I don't know if Obama is the first, though I do remember Homeland Security Administration under Bush asking us to report suspicious activities which more nefarious because it asks you to directly report Americans to HSA where as the Obama administration asks you to forward them fishy emails. Furthermore "as far as I know" is not language used by wise men. I mean, as far as I know Cornyn could be a bisexual.

Obama has learned a lot from Clinton's experience. One of these lessons is to debunk and fight the rumor mills at every turn and the point of asking people for help is to inform the public of the truth, their truths. We'll see if their actions work in their favor come 2010.

The problem is that when you foward an email to them they now know the source of the information which one could view as them collecting info on people against Health Insurance Reform. Its really not hard to find what is being and not being said about these bills by doing a quick search on the internet and no need to set up this hot line. Bush asking to report any suspicious activities is no different then the police asking to report the guy hanging out on the corner approching car and doing some transation. Do I think Obama is collecting info on people. No, but does this give him an avenue to collect info on people. Yes.

S10, as a pioneer in calling idiots "idiots" I'm not sure what is meant by objective. When elected officials and "average" citizens talk about "death panel" provisions in the health care bill you got to start pointing fingers and proclaim "you're in idiot, you're an idiot, you too are an idiot, and you, and you, etc." Honestly, you can only be objective if the other side is coming from an objective position. Granted, the other side doesn't consider statists to be objective in matters dear to them.

Sanford's affair had everything to do with the issues, specially the issue of family values. If Sanford is going to run under the umbrella of being a righteous candidate who will uphold the "values" of this country and then f*cks around on his wife you got to call him out on that, especially with his hateration of gays. A similar case can be made against Clinton and his lying.

p.s. Obama is a jerk for wheeling and dealing behind the scenes with drug makers...80 billion in concessions my ass.

While I agree with the general principle; people who say retarded things deserve to be called retards, it does a disservice to the public to continue distracting from meaningful discussion by spending so much time and energy pointing and laughing at them.

They may deserve to be pointed and laughed at, but the far more effective thing to do is simply shake your head, ignore them, and continue on with meaningful and fruitful discussion.

It's like if you're sitting around having an intelligent conversation about Campbell's yards per attempt, whether it's caused by a poor offensive line or his own deficiencies, and some moron comes along and says "START COLT BRENNAN, CAMPBELL SUCKZ!! LOL!"

What do you do? Let the thread come to a grinding halt while taking up countless pages to drill him:? Or do you shake your head, dismiss his opinion, and continue on discussing the matter with intelligent people?

Now I get what you're saying, if politicians sink to that level then it starts a back and forth amongst our leaders (which is sad). But don't get sucked in, otherwise you spend way too much of your time giving idiots attention they don't deserve.

I think I do a good job in this regard most of the time but sometimes you just have to let an idiot know he is an idiot.

Now I have to say, I can't disagree with this!

I once wasted plenty of time in a thread chopping someone down for their absurd "foolproof" roulette system. Can't say I wouldn't do it again, either. Sometimes jacking someone up for being retarded is irresistable.

I would, however, do it more succinctly in the future. Because looking back, I wasted way too much of my time on that absurd discussion.

I know that the bills (I say bills because 5 are in the works now) do not enclude anything about a death pannell but I would also say Obama opened that door some when he made the comment that grandma maybe should just take a pill instead of having an operation. I think it was another one of those times he was speaking without his teleprompter.

I seem to remember it was one of those that meandered through about 18 subjects and ended up back where it began.

Bitter? Actually I'm a very happy person and I really don't talk to much about politics other then here. I do some with friends and family but why get together with them and talk politics when your suppose to be having fun.

I guess it would be good to have Obama care to night as the Ravens are going to need some after the skins are done with them. I hop that was not to bitter.http://www.thewarpath.net/images/icons/icon10.gif

Now that I think about it what do you think I said that was so bitter?
