I highly doubt Snyder had anything personally to do with this. I'm going to edit the thread title to be a little less dramatic and misleading.

Thank you. That original post was so misleading. Cost cutting move, nothing more.

Since John Thompson lost both of his "sidekicks" in this "restructuring", it will be interesting to hear what he has to say - if anything.

I have had sporadic contact with Thompson over the last 30 years. Trust me on this one; if he has something he wants to say about this matter he will - - and he will not be concerned about who likes or does not like what he says. It is also quite possible that he does not have anything to add to this matter in which case he will say nothing.

Monday's program should be very interesting...

John Thompson and Doc Walker together should be interesting

I wonder if this will open the door now for Joe Theismann's long rumored arrival to 980

^Sorry. When I read the news, I started partying. I just sobered up enough to give my oppinion. lol. JK.

For the life of me I could not figure out why it has not been done sooner? All he ever did was bad mouth the owner, organization, and half the players. I understand people don't want to hear suck ups all day but we also don't want to hear negativity every radio session either, especially from the very radio station who is sponsored by the team. Let another radio station slam the team or have guest on with different views of the team from time to time but don't hire someone who constantly looks for negative things to say about the team.

Bye B-bitch. won't miss you. Go back to Philly where your loved and love to be.

Have you guys ever thought that Coach Thompson sounds like Don Cornelius from "Soul Train?" When I do take the liberty to listen to the show which is very little cause I hate B-Mitch, the coach's voice almost puts me to sleep, but I can't help thinking about Don Cornelius when I hear him.

No big loss, IMO. He's tha classic-ex-player ego. He sees everything through the prism of his own career. There's a lot of other fat they could cut if you ask me.

Actually it was a cost saving move. Red Zebra is hemmoraging cash. Koken got cut too and I don't think Koken ever pissed Dan off.

Koken was a Skins nay-sayer. Rarely had anything good to say!

Kudos for a Soul Train reference. When I was a kid, the beginning of Soul Train meant that the line-up of classic Saturday morning cartoons had come to an end (Soul Train came on at noon in our area), so I always sort of looked at Don as bringing gloom to my TV. But yes, I agree that JT sounds like him.

The one thing I won't miss about Brian Mitchell is his consistency in complimenting himself (even through his very last show). I actually was listening to the show on Friday, and there was a discussion about Rafer Alston's slap to the head of the Celtics' Eddie House, and B-Mitch said, "You've got to keep that in check. I always did. Even though I was always one of the most intense and aggressive guys on the field, I knew where to draw the line."

C'mon. You can discuss the need for avoiding line-crossing without making sure to, yet again, plug how superior your approach to the game was. This I will not miss.
