If things don't work out this year with Zorn why the hell not? I'm hoping it doesn't come to that obviously.

Yeah, if things don't work out this year, I think it'd be nice to have Holmgren as HC and Zorn as OC. Seems like a pretty obvious thing to do, if Holmgren were to come here.

Demoting Zorn might be little awkward, and I would imagine Holmgren would want to run the offense.

Great article. Mighty nice of MH to compliment the Skins and encourage patience in the development of a great QB.

The Redskins are so G-rated these days.

Let's hope it works.

Excellent article. Holmgren's insight should be appreciated by all who heard or read his remarks.

Word...kind of wish he'd have been at the park and made those remarks like 3 months ago lol. I think Holmgren is quietly noting how special Zorn is when it comes to developing QBs. Does anyone think Hesselbeck could be a pro-bowl qb w/o Zorn's mentoring? I don't for a second...and likewise Zorn will take JC to a higher level.

If Holmgren comes back to the NFL, it will probably as a GM. At 60 years old he would want to remain on the West Coast and more than likely relocate to SF. Rumors around here have him coming back to the 49ers in some kind of personnel position.

From your fingers to God's eyes. For the record, I agree with you. I expect JC to have a strong year this year with breakout seasons from Thomas and Davis.

I expect the same thing. I think we have a pretty good thing going right now and don't know it yet. To answer Goats question, no. W/o Zorn Hasselbach would not be the QB he is today IMO.

I hope for a strong year as well, but this is the same stuff i was hearing last year about a 'JC breakout year". understanding he's changed coaches and offenses several times, however, a QB runs the offense. and we must be better then 16.6 ppg. that is awful. another year like last year and he'll be another teams backup in 2010.
