Just an FYI, we have over 8 mil in cap space.
I do not think an often injured player is someone we should be looking at. He had a season ending injury last year, and we have had enough of that.
All the haters on Jansen...I am one of the few that thinks he might be able to make a solid comeback this year after a year of strengthening and conditioning his injured parts. Jansen was a GREAT tackle until injuries just derailed his career. I think we might be a little shocked how much better he will be. Then again, I could be wrong. Still, want to see if he can regain his form.
I think Jansen will play better this year too. He's in better shape (his lateral movement is probably a lot better now that he's down to 295) and is a year removed from a season-ending injury. I'll bet he comes away with the RT job with Bridges backing him up. Heyer will backup Samuels.

Bring in Levi asap !!he's better than most of our starters, and plays against two of the best blitzing teams in league four times a year (Baltimore and Pittsburgh ) he is the best answer at RT for us!!

Lets look at it another way. How many OL will Zorn keep? Especially RT? Jansen is a give due to cap issues. Then you have to decide on the rest. If williams loses his weight and turns out to be a beast he will stay on. Then who? Briggs? Can they move Jansen to Guard and get better production and then have Williams, Briggs, Heyer, and ? That's only if they are keeping 4 RT's. I bet they only keep 3 and maybe fill other holes on the OL. Now would it be wise to bring in Jones? Who might he bump? Williams, Heyer? Briggs played some Guard also so I bet if he's any good he stays.

I think Jones may be headed to Buffalo, where he has a chance to start. I doubt he would somewhere like Denver or even here.
Broncos may pursue Levi Jones - AFC West - ESPN (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcwest/0-3-2146/Broncos-may-pursue-Levi-Jones.html)
I think Seattle may have a shot at Levi too, he's visiting them right?

Yup, he can take over Walter Jones' spot there.

Absolutely. He might surprise. Certainly hope so. I've always liked him.

Jim Zorn on Jansen: "Well, Jon's been great, because Jon's worked at right tackle, he's worked at guard, and he's helping us at center. And to be honest with you, he's doing a great job at center, communicating with the guards and getting people in the right place. You know, center's a very communicative position, and he's doing a great job with that. The quarterbacks like him because his butt's so tall, they can just stand up and look at things. They don't have to squat down."
