:headbange This is the most pysched I've been about this defense in a long time. Coupled with being the 2nd year for the rookies, and Campbells time in the WCO, my optimism is pretty high right now. But defense is what lights my fire and I can't wait to see our NFC East opponents lit up by the likes of AH and Rak. Bring it on!
Ah you lost me at Campbell and the WCO. If we get far its gonna be from stingy defense and good ol' fashion power running game.

Sorry you're lost but a stingy defense and power running game didn't get us but so far last season. If we're gonna go farther this year we need some improvement from JC in the WCO and better production from our wideouts. I'm expecting both.

Aren't you the same guy who predicts that Favre would light it up in Minnesota? Yet you lack enthusiasm for greater experience all around the Redskins' offense, including at QB?

I dont think Haynesworth gets more than 2 sacks this season. That doesn't mean he isn't going to be productive though. He will be getting the center turn every single snap letting our other Dline folks do a lot more. I think, if he's still properly motivated, he could be the catalyst to give us an elite defense. I bet our CBs look worlds better with a pass rush.
That said, I'm still not getting my hopes up until I see we can score points -- especially throwing the ball. Portis makes this offense go, but killing him early in the season cripples us towards the end. We need balance, we need to implement a real 2 back system (which most every other team uses) and we need to score.
Good post. I think the best way to measure Haynesworth's contribution this year is on team sacks. Hopefully we can break 40.
I have a "space-eater" mentality, so I'd be just fine if the DEs and LBs got all the sacks.

I thought that I would save a thread by piggybacking here:
Haynesworth sued (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4137928)
If he is smart, he'll start working on a settlement ASAP. In fact, if he were smart, he already would have been working on it.

Yes. And if he actually caused the accident, he should willingly pay the man for any damage he caused in this mans life. Fortunately he's in a financial situation where he is able to.

Im not doubting the offense..Im doubting Jason Campbell not for nothing but there is a reason why we tried to dump the guy twice. And yes Jason Campbell can only wish he can have the career Brett had. I predict Jason to be another Pat Ramsey. when he lives here next year 2 years best he start. after that he'll be signaling plays from the side line for a living(which isn't a bad 1)
