Khary Campbell that is...

K. Campbell won't be back - Redskins 360 - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/redskins/2009/apr/29/k-campbell-wont-be-back/)

Backup linebacker Khary Campbell won't return for a fifth season with the Redskins, strongly rejecting the same minimum salary deal that longtime NFL starters Phillip Daniels, Renaldo Wynn and Robert Thomas accepted.

Campbell told The Washington Times that he's negotiating with other teams, but it's not just about the money. The Redskins' top special teams tackler the past three years feels disrespected.

"That wasn't something I was going to accept," said Campbell, 30. "And they drafted two linebackers. They did what they had to do and I'm going to do what I have to do."

Wow, my first reaction was to look at who started the thread, and when I saw it was the great Smoot, I was more scared than if the world were ending!

I love the tags, too.

Peace out, Khary. You were a good special teamer but face it man, you're not going to find more than a minimum salary deal. If you think otherwise then you're delusional.

I don't know how you guys can so easily part ways. He was an intricate part of the Skins cog. He had the most tackles. He's a team leader. He's by far the best LB we have on the team ...that is young. These new LB will not compare to what Campbell brings to the table.

Not a big loss. I'm guessing one of the LBs we drafted will take his spot.

You think he's better than McIntosh and Blades?
