PFT is reporting that Favre asked to be released TWICE - and most recently immediately after the Jets drafted Sanchez. I don't think Favre would do that if he didn't want to play. And you have to beleive that if Favre were available, SOMEONE would pick him up.

I certainly wouldnt want Favre under center here as we are not just a "QB away" from being a contender, but he could be appealing to the Vikings. I'm not too familiar with the Vikings QB situation, but they are a team that really only needs a QB. Jackson is doo-doo. Sage may be better, but not by much. An argument could be made that an effective Favre could put them over the top. personally, i think Favres body is done, even if his mind is not.

Many Skins fans scream about the OL. If I were a Vikes fan, I would be up in arms about their utter lack of ability to acquire a decent QB. It's a need which has stared them in the face for several years now. Why weren't the Vikes at the center of all of that Sanchez controversy?

Two schools of thought,
1- Learning a new system proved to be a bit much for him last year, although it wasn't until the end of the season that he had problems, and they were physical problems.
2- Physical problems. Never has Favre had shoulder problems until last year, there is no real story saying this problem has been solved, why come back now?

I love Favre, I am blessed to have watched him play during the prime of his career, and enjoyed watching him every time! I am in no way interested in seeing him play another season, OTHER than maybe with the Viks. That's a BIG maybe too. Just ride off into the sunset Brett, thanks for the memories.

if he was willing to return, i bet snyder and vinnie would be interested.

Doubtful.

Doubtful, but Zorn would give an instant veto, anyway.

Oh hell no. I don't even know why this is a question.

I agree Zorn would probably veto it, but then again does Danny really get vetoed by anyone??

I dont know... i think he would unretire to play for the Vikings. Favre + Vikings = a good chance of going to the superbowl. Theyve got a great team - they just need a QB.

Not interested but, our front office is capable of anything

Whoops, there goes the cliche string again.

Very good point. Again, my beef with fellow Skins fans is that we act like we're going 0-16 every season and have Matt Millen as our FO person. While I am not saying that we should be satisfy with average results, at the same time let's not cry wolf every single time.

The Vikes are wasting away a top 10 defense and a young stud of a RB on a mediocre QB. I think they got Sage Rosenfels, which should be an improvement over Jackson, but they could have done something a long time ago.

I find this a little bit similar to the Eagles. Granted, they've gone to the NFC Championship a number of times, yet they only weapon they gave him offensively has been Westbrook. Now that they have a number of offensive weapons available, they better hope McNabb doesn't go back to his ways of getting injured easily.
