Hmmmmm.........dementia?
Sen. Arlen Specter Switches to the Democratic PartyHog1 04-28-2009, 03:18 PM Hmmmmm.........dementia? dmek25 04-28-2009, 03:18 PM even a 79 year old man realizes change is good! 70 and first, my condolences. and S.S, there is still room for you FRPLG 04-28-2009, 03:20 PM I was going to post this..but figured you'd want the honors :) (bonus points to firstdown if he can turn this political thread into a non-political thread) Some would argue that Specter left the Republican party a long time ago, others that it left him. Alls I know is for moderate republicans like myself, this is another sign that maybe the GOP just don't want us anymore. But can you win in 2012 without us? Because you couldn't in 2008. I'd argue he isn't even a moderate. he isn't fiscally conservative by any stretch. nor socially. I am nto sure how exactly he still thought he was a republican. Trample the Elderly 04-28-2009, 03:20 PM Didn't Arlen Spector start off as a Democrat? Spector and Collin Powell can take a hike. Now if the Republicans could only get rid of McCain I would consider voting for them, until then they can keep on losing. It doesn't really matter anyway. They're already cramming down the uber-liberal agenda? I'm not upset because Bush had a BS liberal agenda too. What's the difference? firstdown 04-28-2009, 03:43 PM even a 79 year old man realizes change is good! 70 and first, my condolences. and S.S, there is still room for you I heard he was promised a tour of NY in Air Force One but right now Obama cannot seem to locate his plane. I was going to post an opinion, but then I read the part in bold. 100% agree. Alls I know is for moderate republicans like myself, this is another sign that maybe the GOP just don't want us anymore. But can you win in 2012 without us? Because you couldn't in 2008. Who voted for McCain but moderates? McCain is the ultimate moderate. I didn't vote for him nor did any of the people I know. A few die hards here and there went out but most of the conservatives stayed home. It's your party not ours. If you want to see how many elections moderate Republicans can win you'll have no better example than this past one. I think you have it the other way around? You don't actually believe the packaging and fluff that they put out about being conservative? They only put that garbage out during elections for the die hards. You can have the Republican party. It stinks! Specter is a typical floater. He sticks his finger in the wind and sees which way the wind is blowing, no principle, no honor, just strait up political survival. saden1 04-28-2009, 06:26 PM You really aren't good at math are you TTL? Trample the Elderly 04-28-2009, 06:30 PM You really aren't good at math are you TTL? Are you talking to me or are you not really good with your spelling?
