Hey I admit I watched the Golden Girls when I was a kid too.

Thanks! I didn't want to start a thread this weekend because I figured the board would be entirely focused on the draft and the thread would be missed.
I used to watch Golden Girls as a child with my mom on Saturday nights, always thought it was pretty funny. But now when I watch it as an adult (8-10a on Hallmark, and again at 7p for those of who wondering why you haven't seen it on Lifetime lately), I can't believe how many jokes I missed as a child.
Great writing and acting, sad that half of them have passed in the past few months.

Shows what you know. The only year they were both on the air was 1985-1986 season when Diff'rent Strokes had moved to ABC and was on Friday nights. Golden Girls was on Saturday nights. Don't make sic the Gooch on you

Deftly played. Of course prior to Golden Girls, she played pioneering feminist Maude on 'All in the Family" and her own subsequent spinoff show. I don't think you could have genetically engineered a person in the lab to better personify the women's liberation movement of the 1970s, and you can take that any way you want.

man 70, they don't make T.V like that anymore. i always thought that all in the family was one of the most innovative, funny television shows of all time

Yeah it was no holds barred. He said things on that show that no one would go near today.
