Yeah, the more I think about it, Philly killed it. McNabb openly asked for more weapons. The team then goes and gets a pro-bowl LT, another playmaking WR/return guy in Maclin to go with Curtis, Brown, and Jackson; Ingram is a freak, and Macho Harris is nasty. Plus they gave up 2 5ths to land a starting caliber CB in Hobbs.

They now go 4 deep at WR, 2 nice TE's, great return guys, and two home run hitters at RB with McCoy and Westbrook. Did I mention their D was 3rd overall last year? They're loaded and the team to beat in the division IMO.

SFREDSKINS is going to challenge you on that one and say it's the Giants. LOL. On a related note, I'm sure Philly fans hope that McNabb stays healthy, otherwise all of these pick ups will be for nothing. He did stay healthy all of last season though.

In the 4 way interview with Snyder/Cerrato/Zorn/Doc Walker the other day, Zorn said he wants to grab a new QB every year. Draft or UDFA, as long as he's our coach, I think we can expect this sort of thing.

I like the thought. If only 1 in 3 is capable then every 3rd year we have a decent backup and a new 3rd guy. Rinse repeat as necessary. Every now and then you might hit on a gem who can start and win ala Trent Green. At least this way you always have backups who know the system.

This is interesting (from John Clayton (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=4102721)), even the mighty Darth Hoody makes a questionable pick in the draft. Good thing our FO didn't do this, otherwise this website would have crashed with the rants:

4. The Patriots' third-round selection of North Carolina wide receiver Brandon Tate was one of the most interesting picks on the second day of the draft. Tate grades out highly for his receiving ability, but he carries some baggage. There have been published reports of a positive marijuana test, and he is coming off surgery for torn knee ligaments. Expect him to spend the season on the physically unable to perform list or as an inactive player on the 53-man roster. Because Randy Moss and Joey Galloway are getting older, Tate could be an interesting developmental player. At his news conference, Tate was apologetic about past mistakes.

The iggles are extremely good at integrating/developing young talent quickly and efficiently. It makes me extremely envious...we should kidnap their WR coach and hold him hostage until our WR corp gets its shit together LOL.

...Philly and NY helped themselves big in this draft. Gonna be very tough to beat but we seem to have Philly's number lately and we did add plenty of talent since last year. It's really all about the offense though cuz our d will be effing off the hook. If we're not #1 or #2 overall on d I'll be surprised and disappointed. But the offense has to 1)stay healthy 2) be more dynamic 3) be consistent 4) teach our WR to run-routes and catch the ball 5) stay healthy 6) stay healthy

I have to say, simply for the first round alone, the Lions made a very good double play with Stafford and Pettigew. A TE is a QB's safety valve, if they can adress thier needs at OL and RB they have a really solid team offense all of a sudden. The defense however....

Maybe they should've addressed that with their second 1st round pick.

Why does Darth Hoody wear a coat and tie at the draft but a hoody everywhere else?

i think its funny that that the same people that are lauding the eagles draft are the same people that say we need a tall receiver. do the eagles have a receiver taller then 6 foot?

Philly and Cincy. Effing Philly. They are going to be really good this year.

On the other side of the coin, what about the Cowboys draft? Not much going on there.

A kicker in the 5th? Gotta wonder about that logic.
