I like those Terps they signed. I hope they can make the squad, even if it is highly unlikely they will.

Nflnick11 04-26-2009, 11:49 PM The pick up of edwin Williams is better than half of our second day picks.. tryfuhl 04-26-2009, 11:51 PM We just signed Scott Burley, Maryland tackle. Not real excited about this No need to fret, not like he's guaranteed to be on the final roster. SBXVII 04-26-2009, 11:54 PM I agree. Couldn't hurt to sign the kid and give him a looksy. He was pretty much a stud at Mizzou. I am going to go out on a limb here and say I would think Daniels would have more of a shot at making it in the NFL than Sanchez. Daniels was a big part in making Mizzou competitive, any shmuck with a good arm could take snaps at USC and look damn good. USC is always stacked to the gills with talent as they have a virtual lock on the best of the best in HS blue chips in CA and in the West in general. Mizzou would have totally sucked without Daniels. Daniels; Analysis Positives: Gutty, competitive field general. A virtual coach on the field. Reads defenses well and checks down effectively. Good accuracy to all levels. Shows enough zip in the short to intermediate throws when given a deep pocket. Good touch to place the ball between the linebackers and safeties down the seams. More elusive than often given credit for. Can buy time in and out of the pocket and shows good accuracy on the move. Negatives: May be too short for the NFL. Scouts believe his success in this system is greatly tied to throwing out of the shotgun -- and thereby the open passing lanes and middle underneath passes of the scheme. Seemed to provide further evidence of this theory with his struggles at the East-West Shrine game. Questionable arm strength. Has the zip to complete the short and intermediate passes, but has to wind-up for longer throws and due to his lack of height and release point, longer passes tend to sail. Camp Fodder. Perhaps I'm wrong and they can Collins to get younger, but I doubt it. Edit: Although my mags compare him to Jeff Garcia. GusFrerotte 04-26-2009, 11:57 PM Like I said, couldn't hurt to give him a look though. Still think he would be a better QB than Sanchez. Collins isn't getting any younger and they may need to go younger if JC ta kes a hike after this season or is plain let go. tryfuhl 04-26-2009, 11:57 PM I think A. Boone would be a great signing for a team, if he could get off the alcohol. signed by SF tryfuhl 04-26-2009, 11:59 PM NFL News and Rumors - Hot off the Wire Fantasy Football News (http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl) 2009 Undrafted Free Agent Signings List ~ NE Patriots Draft (http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2009/04/2009-undrafted-free-agent-signings-list.html) Redskins QB Chase Daniel (Missouri) OT Scott Burley (Maryland) DE Derek Walker (Illinois) WR Josh Briscoe (Tennessee) C Edwin Wiliams (Maryland WR Jaison Williams (Oregon) tryfuhl 04-27-2009, 12:00 AM Jags have already signed 18 DoggDayAfternoon 04-27-2009, 12:07 AM What's wrong with Daniel as camp competition? It seems to me that in the worst case he's an early cut. In the best case the elderly Collins can take a stroll and we become younger at qb. Yeah i see nothing wrong with Daniels and Brennan playing with butterflys at the end of the bench.
