We'll see how this goes. -- WILLIAMS INJURED Mike Williams suffered what appeared to be a knee injury during Monday’s OTA practice. “He went to the ground one time on a block and jammed his knee into the ground,” Jim Zorn said. “It was just sore.” Williams has been seeing increased action during OTAs as he continues to reduce his weight to under 380 pounds. Added Zorn: “It was a lot of beef to put on the ground so suddenly. We just took him off the field. If he can get down to 350-55 he really might be able to play! I personally think this is a great sign. There is no doubt whether he has the talent to play in the league. I think the criticism was whether he would make the commitment needed to succeed. Obviously, he has made a commitment to lose enough weight to be able to compete. Maybe through desperation we found a gem! MTK 06-20-2009, 12:40 AM Man that's some serious weight loss. The obvious question now is can the guy play? I'd love to see him have some sort of comeback player of the year story but I admit I'm still in the doubter camp. If he can at least be a quality backup and give us some meaningful snaps here and there I'll be happy.
