i hate to say it but the redskins arent ready to make a super bowl run. they, just like my saints, are a couple years away from making that kind of run

I disagree. If we can draft Oher or Smith and pull a trade to land Mack, you use the rest of your picks on D and next year you build the D like you built the O and also draft a young RB and we could be in next year.

The only caveat is mending fences with Campbell. Think about it, if we can pull what I mentioned our OL would be awesome w/ lots of depth, load up on LB/DE/CB and just like that you are a serious contender, plus you can sign FA.

We have to counteract what the Giants have built on both sides of their line, right now on paper they are the team to beat in my opinion.

sometimes you gotta take baby steps

btw...this its very hard to get to 25 posts so i can create my own thread.
if you guys havent noticed im pulling stuff outta my but just so i can get a post in here and there

#1: there are grades between making a run at the playoffs and Super Bowl. How about just winning a playoff game or two?

#2: IMO it is a better idea for you to just be patient at getting to 25 posts rather than making us read garbage so that you can get there more quickly, which by the way is the Dan Snyder approach to posting.

Even the Almighty Sanchez cannot block for himself.

Very funny, but that is the whole of the reality behind this stupid situation the FO has the franchise in. No matter who the QB is for us in '09 without a O line upgrade he will be on his arse often and we will be lucky to get to 8-8.

those expectations are very realistic. what would it take to move back into the first round and pick up either mack, unger, or robinson?

i think you guys have some quality depth at QB. Brennan could be great IMO and campbell is a fine starter. Moss and randle el(you guys still have him?) are good WRs to compliment the great running game.

i completely agree that the biggest issue would be competing with the giants rush and offensive line. Haynesworth should help a little on defense but he only plays 2 plays every series because hes out of shape all the time.

the next step is to address offensive line to deal with rushers like demarcus ware, joey porter, mathias kiwanuka, justin tuck, and osi. IMO a top rated tackle would be more beneficial because of the talented DE/OLBs in the East.

the DTs the redskins face arent nearly as talented as the DEs you face 6 games every year

#1 the Cult of Colt thrives even in New Orleans, apparently
#2 Joey Porter is not in our division

You know, at some point we're going to have to drop the "Cult of Colt" line. I mean, they drafted this guy for a reason, right? Is Colt a guy who the team brought in to be some sort of permanent tease?

I'm not suggesting he has to start this year, but I think some people go overboard with the thought that should Colt Brennan never, EVER see the field. If there is something in game films that make so many people absolutely certain that he should not even be in consideration to throw a pass in the NFL, then why is he on the team?

in a few years when we look back at the draft and realize who were the best players to come out of the draft, we wont be looking at matthew stafford or brian orakpo or tyson jackson

Who is we haha?

Did you move to the DC area so now you quasi-follow the skins? that's a guess but my best one

What is so bad that we've done worth turning to the effin ravens? (please note that I will be EXTREMELY unhappy with the Skins if they do something stupid in the draft like give up everything for Sanchez.)

You can PM me if you wish to avoid future comments on this thread, especially the wonderful name calling...which by the way, nice come back with the "a douche gets more..." LOL HILARIOUS.

a douche gets dirty poon ;)

Dude, if we lose to the Giants, I am blaming you. I'm not trying to be a prick, but you must have at least 20 posts praising the hell out of the Giants. I'm a bit superstitious and I think you're going to will this to happen.
