Shane, you are right about Gibbs coming out passing, I think it was the first game he called 48 passes to only 17 runs, or something along those lines. Early on that year he found that a power running game could compliment his offense perfectly and the rest is history.

gibbs yanked theismann in a 49er rout at rfk,and they had a long heart to heart chat that skins were able to start winning.they beat the bears the next week,finished 8-8 and the rest is history.theismann had been in pro football 10 years when he mey gibbs,brunnell has been in 12 so there are a lot of similararities.the skins will win,EVENTUALLY.it may not be this year like we all want it to be.they have a damn better shot at winning now with gibbs than they have since he left do'nt ya'll think???i say HAIL TO THE REDSKINS BAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

THE SKINS CAME OUT PASSING THE NEXT YEAR TOO,THE GROUND GAME DID NOT PICK UP UNTIL THE PLAYOFFS AGAINST THE LIONS,VIKINGS,COWPOKES,AND KILLER BS.IT ONLY PICKED UP THEN BECAUSE RIGGINS WENT TO GIBBS AND TOLD HIM TO GIVE HIM THE BALL HE WAS READY TO CARRY THE TEAM.UNTIL THEN THE SKINS WERE A PASS ORIENTED TEAM,WITH THE SMURFS,FUN BUNCH.REMEMBER THE SMURFS WERE PROTECTED BY THE HOGS.:oink:
