skins89moss 04-26-2009, 07:02 AM We know the Redskins have prematurely given up on QB's ( Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Sage Rosenfells, Stan Humphries) that have gone on to have decent careers. Oh i did forget one more QB that wore the Burgandy and Gold who played in a Super Bowl. Anyone remember Rich Gannon playing for the Redskins?
Lets give JC every chance to succeed before we kick him to the curb. I think Jason will have a huge Chip on his shoulder to prove all you haters wrong.
Thank the Jets we get to JC in this offense for another year. Give Hell JC and show them what you got. Just because he doesnt scream and yell at players doesnt mean Jason isn't a leader. He will let his play do the talking. You give him time and JC will eat the secondary alive. Hail baby...
nyredskinsfan 04-26-2009, 08:08 AM He's been developing for 4 years!!!!! good god, by the time he "reaches his potential" he'll 34. Enough is enough, we have other more pressing needs than QB right now, so we should stick it out, but Jason Campbell is not the future.
Agreed. I'm still with the mind set that JC is not the future. Blocking needs to be better, however, he's not mobile enough to escape a rush. Takes too long to make passing decisions, fumbles, trips over his own feet. He is tough though, great character. Now that JC see's that performance is everything, I hope to see a more fired up QB.

Where I live wins and losses are earned by teams, not qb's. For example, it wasn't JC who collapsed and allowed San Fran to come back and win the game. It wasn't JC who fumbled on the 1 against Cinci. Change those two games and JC went 10-6 last year.
well what player is the leader on the offense and runs the offense?
Did you know the Detroit lions didnt win a game last year, and score more offensive points then the Redskins? Three teams in the entire league scored less points then us. Three. Our wins last year were mainly earned by Portis and the 4th ranked D.

Well maybe if our defense could have got more sacks and pressured the QB we could of forced more turnovers. Turnovers kill a team.
redskins1974 04-26-2009, 08:31 AM I think the Sanchez talk and maybe even the Cutler trade were all smoke and JC knew this. In his post-draft presser Zorn mentioned something about false reports concerning Cutler.
If JC was in on a smoke screen from the beginning, he likely feels more wanted now, not less.
No these were not smokescreens. They were def trying to get rid of him.

What? Even though we did not force turnovers, we had the 4th ranked D in the league. Our D was the strength. We didnt score points all year, and even though its a team sport, that falls on the QB.

100% agree on the first part.
skins89moss 04-26-2009, 08:37 AM Our Defense did not step up a few games when we needed to get a stop to win. Remember the Rams game and the 49ers game comes to mind.

Amen. Campbell's inability to stretch the field allowed teams to stack the box against CP. Most of his passes that were longer than 20 yards were thanks to his receivers after catch ability. Poor Santana was missed on more downfield passes, either with the ball sailing 10 yards over his head, or he was under thrown to... There's like a 10% chance that JC makes an accurate throw down the field.

I don't remember.... When did JC win us the game? I remember Portis winning them by himself in the first of the season, and i remember our D winning two in the second half... but JC, i mean it was nice when he wasn't throwing Interceptions, he wasn't throwing TD's either though....
