Ok guys so problem. When I am playing music on my computer that is streaming or youtube(still downloading) it starts skipping and lagging(the music). It doesn't play as bad when fully loaded but still skips a bit.

I have 2gb ram so it really shouldn't be a problem and never was before.

Thoughts?

Check your device manager, maybe uninstall the audio drivers, select find new hardware for it to reload them. Wait! Is this a Vista machine?

If it IS Vista, I highly recommend you having SP1 installed for it.

Also, check this out too:
Windows Media Player makes a "skipping" sound continuously in song - Media Technology (http://forums.techarena.in/media-technology/689924.htm)

Also it skips with MP3 files too. So seems to be an overall sound problem....

Yep, download and install the latest audio drivers...

If you have a Dell, head to support.dell.com and put in your Service Tag or Model Number and pull down the latest driver(s).

Your sound card is most likely using "Realtek High Definition Audio". Right-click on that and select properties and note the Driver Version and the Date.

What kind of computer do you have? The manufacturer website should have the drivers for download, or at least point you to where you need to go.

If not, try this:
Realtek (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/)

Click on High Definition Audio Codecs
