Eagles' fans comments following Sean Taylor's death should leave no doubt that they have the worst fans

Yeah, no kidding. And while we're talking about JC getting jerked around, McNabb has been jerked around pretty well, too.

I used to think he looked like Joe Buck on crystal meth, but not anymore. Well done.

He also slightly resembles Senator Mark Warner of Virginia. Together they form, in my mind anyways, a sort of Triumvirate of Douchebaggery.

Hell wasn't it a Philly fan that said McNabb wasn't playing "black" enough.

Call me an idiot cause...

I do think that we are 2 - 3 players away from being perennial playoff contenders, thus, Super Bowl contenders. One team leader and 2 more solid playmakers. (Whether or not JC is that leader is yet to be determined)

Sorry, but all the DS bashing in the world won't make the leats bit of difference. He owns the team, he's not selling, get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quality QB play, shore up RT, and if Thomas/Kelly pan out, sure why not?

Crazier things have happened.

Cowtird...who gives two shits! He's a tard.

My answer to go along with this thread would be YES!

But who knows and since my magic ball is broke and out for service at this time. I guess we will know in December/January how close we are, won't we....

I'm sure not going to call you an idiot for your comments. I agree that we are close to being really good soon, and for the reasons Mattyk mentioned: raised play at RT, QB, and no-longer-rookie WR.

It's the "perennial" part that gets me. We are old in the tooth in so many places and several folks could retire or lose a step over the next couple of years. I think it will take some time to get younger to meet the "perennial" mark.

just my limited opinion...

The whole few players away premise is ridiculous. I think most teams are a few players away, dependent upon the calibre of players. I mean look what happened to the Falcons this season. Bring in Matt Ryan and Michael Turner, and there you go. There's way too much parity in this league to ignore the fact that most teams are essentially a few players away. You put two or three big time stars on a team, and they'll turn it around, even the lowly Lions. I'll try and make them Super Bowl contenders with guys that were actually available this offseason, so it's more feasible. (although I will ignore cap numbers because that would be too much work) Somehow, Detroit pulls off the Jay Cutler trade, lures Albert Haynesworth away from our FO, and signs Brian Dawkins. Tell me they wouldn't be in the Super Bowl discussion, especially in their weak division with an easy schedule this year.

Detroit's in the Super Bowl discussion, anyway, because they changed what was holding them back - their uniforms. :)
