Giantone 04-16-2009, 06:15 PM Oh I don't know, because this is a Redskins fan forum? :smashfreaOk ,you compare the Giants and Eagles and say the Giants have holes.....Edwards will solve that HOLE(not holes).Yet the Eagles have completely torn up their D and lost their TE and numerous others and you still rank them on top????...explain Rocky?
Giantone 04-16-2009, 06:21 PM Well, if you read between the lines, I'm indirectly saying something about the Redskins. But I wouldn't expect you to catch that, given your allegiance and all.
I caught it,that's why the question.Allegiance my ass we're talking football...my rankings as of now
1) Giants.............without the Burress circus we will do well ,plus the D line will be back at full strength
2)Skins ...........unlike alot of Skins fan I though Campbell was having a very good year last year........untill the O and D lines fell apart on him
3) Cowboys...........they lost alot with TO leaving and Romo ...well sucks.
4) Eagles for the very reasons I said ...plus the word is still out on Jim Johnson their DC ...he had cancer and their is no word ( I know of) wether he'll be back.

Who's the dominant target over the middle even if you get Braylon? Kevin Boss? What happens if Pierce misses the season? Just throwing in the towel? How about if Aaron Ross never comes along?
Those are called holes.

Same O linemen that filled in last year.....
Boss,Steve Smith..........
We have back ups for everyone yup Pierce to....
.........and Ross has come along and so has Webster....ask Steve Smith from Carolina.
LOL..........no it's called a wish list by you.We have plenty of good reliable back ups just waiting for a chance to play.We have maybe 6 spots on the roster that's it,the starting O is set.

No ,I asked you to explain about ranking the Eagles first when they have lost a boat load of players .............good ones
CRedskinsRule 04-17-2009, 08:40 AM I agree with GTripp, and would add the following:
Giants - A big question is what will the change in DC do. Steve Spagnoula is touted as a genius, will there be any drop off at all on the defensive side. Eli still makes errors with the ints at the wrong time, will that cause any issues now that the glow of the SB has worn off.
Philly: Face it, the core of this team is Reid, McNabb, Westbrook. They have stability, and unless those 3 just implode, the Eagles will be a contender
Dallas: There D will be better, if Wade focuses there; so the question becomes can Romo and Garrett lead this offense effectively, I don't think so. I don't see how they make up the pure numbers that TO gave them, and Tony will have trouble if they get off to a bad start. (with respect to our schedule, I think having to later season games with Dallas could be great because they may be in full implosion, looking for a new coach etc)
Us: I have been a strong believer in Campbell, and think that if the FO fills the OL in the draft, we could go up 2-3 games. I don't think we lose to the Rams again, and our AFC schedule appears far less brutal then last year. Sirius made the point last night, that Campbell/Portis totals 3200+/1450+ put the duo in the top 5-7 combos on offense, the trick for us will be finding the endzone at the end of drives. (I know that is an obvious statement)
GTripp0012 04-17-2009, 12:15 PM No ,I asked you to explain about ranking the Eagles first when they have lost a boat load of players .............good onesThe Eagles had a top three defense last year and lost only their oldest player, so they figure to still be in the top five, maybe top seven.
They are going to add parts on offense in the draft. Right now, I think their OL is a bit suspect, but losing LJ Smith is addition by subtraction, and the receivers could be a dominant unit for the first time since 2004 there.
Still, their offense will only be somewhere between top half and top ten.
Either way, they have the best chance of anyone in the division at hitting 11 wins. Certainly not the only chance though.

Huh?????
Seven-time Pro Bowl safety Brian Dawkins (Denver) and three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Tra Thomas (Jacksonville) signed elsewhere. Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard (New York Jets) and wide receiver Greg Lewis (Patriots) were traded. Running back Correll Buckhalter, who was on injured reserve during the 2004 Super Bowl season, signed with the Broncos.
Right tackle Jon Runyan and tight end L.J. Smith are also gone. You say the Giants will fall without Spags.....why ,this guy was trained by Spags and isn't changing anything, yet the Eagles Jim Johnson most likely will not be back.:cool-smil
