Yeah, I got the iPod touch for X-mas and I'm still amazed by what it can do. My computer went to poop last weekend but with my iPod I was still able to check email, read this site and any others, check the weather, sports score, etc.
Now if you have the iPhone you can really do a lot. I don't think there is any way to plug it into an HDMI outlet on a TV yet, but I wouldn't be suprised if that was right around the corner.

I'd love to get the touch or an iphone, I'm just waiting til they get the gigs up. I have a 120gb ipod right now, I can't see going backwards in that dept.

Right now I'm using about 42gb which is about half of all my music.

So I really don't need all of it, once the touch goes up to 60gb or so which I'm guessing it will pretty soon I'll bite and buy one.

Same argument my friend had. I personally wouldn't need the higher capacity, though something around 32Gb would be the sweet spot.

You can slam several videos on it, a bunch of music, etc. I know having an all in one device is sweet, but for the same reason as having a shuffle for the gym I'd want a slightly smaller device for music. Not to mention it's just going to wear the battery's charge and lifespan down if I use it for more than just a phone and for data. So I'd rather carry two devices, even if it took up an extra pocket/spot in my carry-on, etc

Yeah, I've got the 8gb (which really only holds 7.1gb) but I wish I had at least the 16gb. I don't have a ton of music on it, but I think it'd be cool to get some TV shows on there. Either that, or figure out a way to get something like Hulu.com to work on it.

Likewise, and sorry that this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know if there is a way to get a site like hulu.com to play on a PS3? I can't figure it out.

they're too apathetic to care, they overpay for macs, they probably think that the higher priced mp3s are that much better too..

Hey, hey now... not all of us owners are Jobs worshipers. I grew up building PCs and used to slam the Mac groupies, myself. Until I bought one.

I wouldn't use anything else to make music or edit video. They're that good when it comes to production. No drivers, no system reboots, no worries.

You mean the mp3 isn't better quality with the price increase? ;)
