Any New Music Selections?BrudLee 08-09-2009, 07:54 PM Just saw IKE open for the Pat McGee Band, and enjoyed the hell out of both of them. ArtMonkDrillz 08-09-2009, 08:50 PM If I mute my TV and open my windows I can hear Incubus playing at Merriweather right now. If this was like 8 years ago I'd probably be there. saden1 09-20-2009, 06:38 PM Listening to the new Kid Cudi Man on the Moon album. Haven't enjoyed an album as much as this in a long while.:woot: Very unique and different. Well worth a listen. Yeah me too Smooter 09-21-2009, 06:38 AM William DuVall will never replace Layne Staley but I think he does a really good job. I figured they'd go a different direction with their music but, I'm surprised by how much they still sound like the original AIC. I figured they'd go a different direction with their music but, I'm surprised by how much they still sound like the original AIC. There's definitely no replacing Layne. But yeah DuVall does an admirable job without coming off like a Layne wannabe. Considering Cantrell has always wrote a large part of the music and lyrics I guess you can see why they still have that trademark AIC sound. Trample the Elderly 09-21-2009, 11:20 AM Megadeth and Slayer. Their new material has an old school feel to it. I'm going to see them play in Richmond soon. skinsguy 09-21-2009, 11:25 AM You're about my age, and I'm going through the same musical changes in taste. Shinedown is a good band. If you're looking for something a bit more pop, The Fray, Maroon Five...O.A.R., all good bands. The funny thing though, I keep going back and listening to those same 80's bands. As matter of fact, I just went to see Night Ranger and Journey Friday night in Greensboro, NC. The 80's are out there and in full force. GhettoDogAllStars 09-21-2009, 12:50 PM Not a new music selection, but if you are into hip-hop, you should check out Atmosphere. Easily one of my favorite groups from the past 10 years. Great beats, good flow, and conscious lyrics you can understand. Also check out Sweatshop Union for the same reasons. |
