No love for Thickfreakness? That's my favorite, and probably Chulahoma in second.
No, much love to both those. Thickfreakness got me into them back in the day, but I have spun that album soooo freakin much. Chulahoma is very solid, the second song, Have Mercy on Me, is one of the best guitar tracks of all time. Dan's solo is so freakin evil, that slow blues on that high chord sounds demonic...its rad and I definitly turn the sound up to eleven when that track plays

Red Rocks and The Gorge are two must see venues at the top of my list
Agree...like to throw Shoreline and Deer Creek on that list, but the sheer beauty of a venue, from what I've heard Red Rocks and the Gorge are tops. For an indoor show, Radio City Music Hall would be cool. Missed CBGBs...but have been to MSG, great sound in there.

Yeah, same here. Got on board with Thickfreakness and played it a lot, but I got the bug and bought up everything they came out with, so it kinda got lost in the mix for a while. Gotta agree with your assessment, and I must say I like all their albums, of course. :biggthump

hoping to see the Black Crowes this fall. looks like full 90 minute acoustic set followed by full 90 min electric set. should be killer.
i've never been to Red Rocks but my old band did play at CBGB's....

Yeah it's going to be great. I've got the VIP package, 2nd row tix, pre-party and post-party. Hoping some of the band might stop in.

So far this summer I've been to Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, and Kings of Leon. That should be it for a while, got tix for the Black Crowes in Oct.
Went to see KOL a couple of weeks ago, one of the better concerts I've been to.
Pumping a lot of Citizen Cope lately. Local boy.
