I don't agree. I think the #13 pick should be close to a slam dunk in terms of getting a player that can start imediately. If I am giving that up then I want to add a pick not just improve my 3rd rounder.

The trade they made last year was ideal because they added a pick. If the skins drop 10 places to around 23 they should be able to net a 2nd round pick and still keep their 3rd rounder.

I hear you, but I created this thread based off of the NFL draft pick value chart.

According the numerical value of the picks, its makes its extremely difficult to pull off this trade still keep our 3rd rounder.

This is pick is based on positioning, and not on stocked picks. If it was based off stocking picks, then I would have come up with a scenario where we traded our first for multiple 3rd's or something like that.

Right now, we have to get the most bang for our buck, and we can't do that with what we have. So, unless anyone has a better idea for a trade, then comments need to be more solution-oriented.

I know the warpath is full of smart individuals. This is why I joined here, but its stifling to think that only a handful of you have actually READ the instructions and commented appropriately. It shouldn't be this difficult. Your comments are appreciated, but I am more interested in who you would take off of this proposal, or what kind of proposal would be better based off of the NFL draft pick value chart. I really am not interested in just your opinions on the proposal. If I was, I would have posted my proposal in a different thread (because I keep hearing from Mods about how people create too many of the same thread).

There are other threads for what you would do with the 13th pick, but this thread is OBVIOUSLY different. I will ask the Warpath with all humility and reverence, if you can not read and follow the directions for answering on this thread, then please refrain from commenting on this thread!

If this can not be done, the mods should lock this thread, lest it turn into copy cat thread about what we should do at 13.

It actually is not difficult to go by the chart and find possibilities for trading out of #13, picking up a 2nd or high 3rd and still retaining pick #80, even if you use New England as a trade partner (as I have pointed out).

* Philadelphia (picks 21 and 53 - 1170; pick 13 - 1150)
* Minnesota (picks 22 and 54 - 1140; pick 13 - 1150)
* New England (picks 23 and 47 - 1190; pick 13 and 5th - approx. 1185.5) or (picks 23, 58, and 4th - approx. 1134; pick 13 - 1150)
* Atlanta (picks 24, 55, and 4th - approx. 1142; pick 13 - 1150)
* Miami (picks 26 and 44 - 1160; pick 13 - 1150)
* Detroit (picks 20, 65, and 5th; pick 13)

I know this will seem a bit harsh, but in all honesty it seems to me that you are only looking for validation with this thread. If someone says, "I love your idea!" then they clearly "read the instructions" and understand clearly the value of your contribution. If someone does not agree with you or suggests the possibility is unlikely then they are not worthy of commenting on your thread and should find a different thread to comment on. Clearly you are very invested in this trade possibility, but I think you are being a bit closed minded here.

I read the chart before responding and I don't like your trade idea! We can go down to the mid 20's and gain a mid to low 2nd round pick wthout giving up the 3rd round pick. Trading down without adding an extra top pick is a waste of time and will net us nothing.

Dont need validation from anyone here big man.

All I was saying was to follow the thread instructions and see what possibilities one could come up with, but the only thing that I got was comments on why it wouldn't work. Those would have been appropriate had the question been "Do you agree/like the proposal?"

It was an easy question, and a few got what I was saying ad responded according. However, it seems like some felt like doing their own thing. Rather than just cooperating with the thread, it became a rant and rave session about how it wouldn't/couldn't work.

Forgive me, but Ive lost my interest in talkin about draft stuff on here. Thanks to those who were good sports and participated. I appreciate your comments. Im not trying do a back and forth with anyone on here, so I will leave the commentary to those who remain.

Peace.

The thread title makes it sound like there's actually a possible draft trade with NE. Anyway, I think draft trades need to happen the day of the draft, depending on who slides down and what do teams that are in the bottom of the first round are looking for.

Didn't read through the thread but I was thinking the exact same thing. How is fantasyland this time of year? Are the unicorns behaving?

lol...For the life of me I can't understand why disagreeing with the trade idea would be an inappropriate response. Why would anyone want to think up possible players to take at draft spots the Redskins do not currently own if they do not agree with the motive behind the trade to begin with. There is nothing wrong with disagreement as long as it's civil...that's what we do here.

Here's a scenario what if we traded our 13th forthe eagles 2 first rounders, or their first first rounder and their first second rounder...(what ever one would be the more fair trade)
