It will be total BS if we go for a DE at 13. We need to build a new offensive line!!!!!! Think Portis is going to last long with the bunch we have now? He got banged up quite a bit last season, and unless you get some top gun blockers for him he will end up like poor Stephen Davis.

Quality linemen are rarely found past round 2, and oops we don't have a round 2 if I am not mistaken, so #13 should be a offensive linemen. A third rounder would just be good for depth, while we need bona fide starters!!!!

Actually I'd say that there are more then a handful of quality lineman available past round 2. The catch is they usually take about 2 to 3 years to develop if that. 1st and 2nd round guys are usually capable of stepping in on day 1 and basically just going from there. The Ravens have a nice stable of guys that were picked from rounds 3-7. The only difference is they usually weren't able to step in.

I am all of a sudden thinking we might trade up. It is not what I would want, but it is exactly the kindof out-of-leftfield move we always make. Maybe to make sure we get one of the big OTs? Anyone get the same feeling? We never seem to value future picks much anyway....

Ayers reminds me alot of phillip Daniels. he looks really big and physical. He plays the run exceptionally well, and he's pretty decent at the pass rush. He looks like a perfect fit for Blache's system. Especially since Daniels and Wynn are not going to be here after this season. Might as well start grooming a DE this year in preperation for next.
