Kudos to the Giants for cutting Burress, he is a virus just like T.O. is.
I'll take T.O. any day he doesn't break laws he just speaks his mind.

With the legal trouble that Burress is in he is going to need a lawyer with enough clout to get Stevie Wonder a drivers license.
None the less, Burress and Owens out of the NFC East? That changes the look of the whole division actually.

I think you mean he hasn't been caught breaking any laws. FYI, MANY players carry guns, Plax was just a moron on not knowing how to use it. Also, I don't recall plax trying to commit suicide then have a girl (don't recall how she was affiliated with him professionally) go on TV crying to turn around and say it was all a big misunderstanding. Riiiiight, like I believe TO isn't mentally like a 10 year old! I'd take plax over TO any day of the week and twice on Sunday...but let it be known I don't want either. TO is such a MASSIVE head case he makes everyone else look like MENSA candidates!

Let's see...a license for the gun costs what, $100? If that gun were licensed, Plax would not be in such trouble right now.
Penalty for getting caught with an unlicensed gun? $27 million in lost wages, although if he plays again after jail then some of this will be made back.
Plax made a mistake which was incredibly expensive.

Makes me wonder if he will still be able to play though. He can plead the economic hardship and might be allowed to play though. Sure it's a long shot, but it "could" work.
nah the gun was tucked in his pants, pretty short shot if you ask me haha
anyways, still have to see goodell's take on this too

You ever tried to get a handgun license in new york?

His charged crime carries 3-5 MANDATORY sentence. Even when they plead it down he has a bunch of factors working against.
A) NY is notoriously anti-gun. Prosecutors put people in jail for gun crimes like cops write speeding tickets
B) The prospector and the MAYOR have said they want jail time. I believe the phrase "make an example of hi" was used.
C) The case will be heard smack dab in the middle of the MAYOR's reelection
D) Typically even once pleaded down defendants carry 3-12 months on these types of crimes.
He's going to jail. Not for 3 years but I'd bet he gets 6 months.
Plax and his lawyer wanted no more than 4 months. The D.A. wants 1 year in a plea.

He's an AMAZING talent...there will be plenty of "takers"...and I'm willing to put a cool $100 on the fact that BOTH the Cowboys and Snyder / Cerrato have made a call to his agent...even though Snyderato would deny it.
I see him as a lesser Terrell Owens. Too many problems to take. The Skins have enough to deal with without getting a guy that HATES to practice and "somehow" manages to shoot himself in the leg!
I am curious, is he ACTUALLY going to jail for sure? If so, how long?
I dont know Rosenhaus and Snyder are like BFF's when it comes to free agents.
