If we don't get Cutler, should we extend Campbell?

What the hell are we doing here? Can we have just one normal off season. Jason Campbell can be just as an effective QB as Jay Culter if he is surrounded by the right talent. There is no way that we should give up any picks for Jay Culter, we have more glaring needs on this team that we should focus on. After everyone in the Redskins organization swore that they had no intrest in Culter and to have this story come and stab Jason in the back is why we are known as the ass clowns of the league. I can only hope and pray that this story is not true and they are just using the Redskins to generate intrest from other teams. Wait, who am I kidding.... :bs:
I feel sorry for Jason right now.

Dirtbag, no one is going to give us shit for Campbell. That's the problem here. If every team values Campbell like we do, we'll have to release him next week or so.

When you have an asset that needs to mature, you hold onto to it. That business 101. Cutler's value is at an all time high, and we're actually considering doing that.

I think it will be the 13th pick, a second rounder in 2010, and Carlos Rogers for Jay Cutler. At which point, Campbell becomes a sunk cost.

Essentially, if I'm predicting correctly we give up two great young players, the chance at two more great young players, and do it all to get one great young player. That's essentially how it's going to break down.

I sure hope you're wrong about Rogers. He's starting to come into his own (minus the dropped INTs) and pairing him with D-Hall makes them both better. This whole thing makes me sick.

HAIL!

I would rather he prove he's earned the pay day, then reassure him that i think he can.

Dude please. Your are so not smurt. We'll get every pick in the first round in exchange for Campbell. Hell we could trade Campbell to China and that would wipe out our debt with our easturn neabors.

In all honesty though I agree that Campbell isn't worth more then a 3rd rounder at best but I think he'll be exchanged as more of a courtesy. I keep getting the feeling though that Matt Leinart might be the Bronocs QB next year though if the trade is a three way deal.

Seriously. I mean, it amazes me sometimes that a few fans like us can figure out the irrationality of some of the bullshit the Redskins pull. What a circus our FO is.

I would extend him or at least franchise him. His numbers and Cutler's are pretty close, the only difference is that Cutler got better pass protection and had 2 consistent wide receivers and a TE.

I don't think that Dan Snyder would allow Vinny to extend the contract of a QB that Dan clearly doesn't want.

Now that the cat's out of the bag, if the trade for Cutler doesn't go through Jason Campbell doesn't have a hair on his ass if he doesn't boycott all team activities and force the Skins to trade him.

I think we can now fairly assume that most of the crazy stuff done by the Skins FO originated in the mind of Dan Snyder.

No! I don't think we should offer Campbell anything unless he shows us something this season.
