wow so he's a punk because he was upset of being traded!! This guy is a superstar in the making and i would take him anyday over campbell!
Yet he's a moron. He had the chance to work with the coach that has been coaching Tom Brady, and as someone mentioned he is in a good situation in Denver where he could be famous and successful for years to come. Instead he's going to go to either Cleveland or Detroit, get a ton of money, and suck for the rest of his career. Yeah, that's smart of him.
Funny how people here cry out how some players are out for the money (Haynesworth, Hall, etc.), scream about character (once again, Haynesworth and hall), yet their hatred of Jason Campbell (since he's been the only reason holding back the team) causes them to throw all of that out the window.

Not unless Pat Bowlen and Jay Cutler have a wonderful sense of humor. I don't get that vibe. Bad move for the Broncos. Franchise QBs don't just come around that often, they should know that better than most. First get rid of a successful coach and now (in a related move) dump the franchise QB. I know Cutler has been less than mature in this situation, but the team has not handled the thing all that well either. From the outside it looks like a good way to blow up a franchise.

Just saw it on ESPN. Must say I'm surprised. I was not expecting this to happen. While the team made a series of mistakes to be sure, they still hold all the bargaining chips, and so I figured they would play hardball long enough that Cutler would eventually relent and show up to work.
I'm not sure Denver realizes how difficult it is to replace a QB of his caliber. You don't have 3-4 years to coach up every 6th round draft pick into Matt Cassell. Denver lucked into getting the only first round guy in 06 who has panned out to date. Those are difficult odds to replicate.

Bowlen kind of hinted at this a couple of weeks ago when he said..."I would like to keep him here, obviously," Bowlen told NFL.com. "But if you are going to be an unhappy camper, there is no real reason to be here."

dude this team is built for winning now!! You can't wait for 2 or 3 more years, plus campbell is already in his mid to late twenties its time to stop giving him the (young) excuse!!Yeah, you're right. We should trade a lot of valuable crap for someone who is younger, less-mature, and has a shorter fuse. That's how you build for the here and now!

I think the real question is: what does Brett Favre think of all this?

Like I've said time and time before if we don't pull the trigger on Cutler if he's available then it's our fault if we struggle on offense again this season! Jason is a decent QB and a nice guy but he is NOT a franchise QB and Cutler would make us a contender today! I hope we get him!!!!!!
I dont want to be a contender today because we dont play today

well obviously they did'nt want him man. Mcdaniels wanted a gut to fit their system! Cutler should be upset even if it is a buisness.

First let me just say, if it we could trade Cutler for Campbell straight up I would do it. But it doesn't work that way.
Cutler is not a punk for being upset that his name was in a trade rumor, he's a punk because of the way he handled it. The NFL is a ruthless business. McDaniels turned dirt into gold with Cassell. So what if he inquired about bringing him to Denver?? Cutler had a golden situation and crapped all over it. The way he handled it was pathetic. Something you'd expect from a primadonna WR or CB, not a QB and supposed leader.

We all have our opinion on Cutler but let's bottom line this. Do you think we'll be in on the trade talks? I know Zorn said Campbell is our guy, but Dan Snyder owns this team so anything can happen. I personally don't want to give up on Campbell. I really like him but I sense the temptation to make another big splash may be too much for Snyder to resist. I hope he exercises some restraint and uses the draft this year. I know we have 5 picks (w/ the compensatory pick), but he can trade down and be creative.
HAIL!
