Just remember who broke the story before everyone and it was laughed off as an april fools joke. snyder is a fing maniac. this is no way to build a team. i was in vegas a few weeks ago and herd that we could be trading campbell , landry and our 1st round pick for cutler in a 3 way trade. im sure there would be more to it but thats what i herd.

What do you want, a f-ing cookie?

I think ESPN was saying hes 13-1 when his defense gives up 21 points or less. I just hope no Landry, Cooley or this years #1 pick are involved, but it doesnt seem likely we will get him without giving one or more of those up.

Yep -- here's the quote:

"He's 17-20 as the Broncos' starter, although that's misleading because of Denver's dismal defense. In games that the Broncos have allowed 21 points or fewer, Cutler is an impressive 13-1, and that only loss was to Green Bay in 2007 when the Packers won the coin toss and Brett Favre threw an 82-yard touchdown pass on the first play of overtime."

While I think we have other needs and I like JC, I have to admit that these stats gave me pause....

Has anyone bothered to look at the statistic of sacks given up by a team? Denver ranked 1st in fewest sacks (12) given up by a team, meanwhile our team is tied for 22nd with 38 sacks. You think Cutler is going to be better than Campbell if he gets sacked 38 times next season (instead of 12)?

SmootSmack - care to weigh in with any inside info?

PS- Wendi Nix looks very nice today on NFL Live. :)

Been so busy today, hardly any time for any inside info

A few notes though

-Mort is pretty on top of things when it comes to Cutler, still for reasons I won't get into here, I'd take this news with some caution

-I think the Lions, Bucs and Bears are the frontrunners though

-The Broncos really don't want Campbell, as best as I can tell.

-My feeling is that if anything we might be the third team in a trade but at the end of the day I don't think Cutler is the QB here in 2009 or beyond. Two reasons a) how can we make it happen really? and b) There is so much excitement in Redskins Park about a future with Colt Brennan it's not even funny (I wish there was the same excitement about Campbell, but for whatever reason it's just not there)

Guys, I know this is April Fool's Day but seriously, what do we have to make this trade happen?

- Cooley and Landry can't be involved their cap hits won't allow it.
- Does anyone think Denver is going to walk out of this without a starting QB they perceive is close to Cutler's level and/or a top 10 pick plus additional picks?

With so many teams in the mix with more ammo in personnel/picks and cap room it ain't happening. Cutler isn't a Free Agent, this isn't a situation where Danny can just throw a big bag of cash on the table and it's done. If Denver isn't hot for JC, (which they aren't) this isn't going to happen.

At the end of the day if Denver doesn't get a sweetheart deal by the time mandatory activities start they'll all have a group hug and Cutler will stay in Denver until his contract is up or Denver can get value for him.

There is NO WAY he stays in Denver. 0% Chance.

It's not just on the internet?
