Broncos to trade Cutler

Am i the only one that finds it really really REALLY suspicious that all these rumors (pertaining to the skins and Cutler) are heating up on April Fools day? Im not dismissing the notion that Cutler is on the trading block, but so far, no reputable sources are legitimately saying the skins are interested in a manner that cant be passed off later as just an april fools joke.

That said, I'm not a fan of Campbell and a couple weeks ago I was adamant in my desire to acquire Cutler at all costs.... but that all ended for me the second it was reported that Cutler - a diabetic - has an alcohol problem. Not to be insensitive, but I dont want to trade anything for a guy who is likely to be unable to play football - if not dead - in a couple years. I still dont like Campbell as our QB of the future, but the risk in acquiring Cutler is just too high now. The potential rewards for such a move have greatly diminished. If he were a free agent, the story would be different, but I wouldnt give up what is likely going to be required to acquire Cutler. He's simply not worth the risk.
I guess I missed the reports that Cutler has a drinking problem.

It was hidden with the reports that the writers at PFT.com also have drinking problems.

Some blog with a Fox station in Denver reported that some unnamed source suggested that Cutler might drink too much on occassion for a diabetic...or something like that

Unnamed source in Denver said he does it occasionally?

Probably Coach McDaniels.

Like I've said time and time before if we don't pull the trigger on Cutler if he's available then it's our fault if we struggle on offense again this season! Jason is a decent QB and a nice guy but he is NOT a franchise QB and Cutler would make us a contender today! I hope we get him!!!!!!

My man, thank you for saying it. Jason is nice, but he is going to be a career backup good one too but not a starter especially for a west coast offense. It would serve him better to be on a team with a dominant defense that only need a quarterback just to go in and not make mistakes or just man the ship. Jason didn’t make many mistakes last year however I heard critics say he missed a lot of big plays by checking down to other receives and I trend to agree with that. True our defense has been pretty good and will be better but our defense doesn't score many point like B-more or Pittsburgh so that formula would not work for us. Get Cutler and the keep Cult and groom him either for the future if the need my araise because of injury or something or use him as trade bait. Just my thoughts

How can he be a career backup when he's a starter now?

Why not trade him to Tennessee for Vince Young and their #1 and #3.

He could go home, and the Titans would be able to get Old man Collins out of football.

Broncos could still trade up and get Sanchez as insurance if Young didn't work out.
