53Fan 04-12-2009, 02:31 PM I am not saying that his final mock is different, but the mock that is shown was probably updated many times.
You may be right, but that's another reason to take his pick with a grain of salt. I have no problem with Kiper, he doe's the best job he can with what he has to work with, but I find his opinion a little more ventriloquist than others of his profession.
Lotus 04-12-2009, 04:06 PM If Danny was watching SortsCenter this morning, we're taking Sanchez. That is, until they showcase another player next week. And then...
MeanEvilSkin, I hope that Danny is reading your sig.
30gut 04-12-2009, 07:27 PM Before I get flack for this thread I know we need oline help as well as LB and DE help but franchise quarterbacks brings championships. Guys what do you think?
I like Sanchez, if we draft him it wouldn't make much sense though.
Even if you consider QB a need, which i don't, we have much more pressing needs on the OL, DL and OLB.
Drafting Sanchez imo would show that this franchise truely has no idea how to build a championship winning team.
I thought that Vinnie finally had total control but if we draft Sanchez it will settle once and for all the question of who really calls the shots for the Skins.
vallin21 04-12-2009, 07:59 PM There's no way in hell were drafting Sanchez at 13.
T.O.Killa 04-13-2009, 01:37 PM The Washington Times is reporting today that the Redskins are could pick Sanchez at thirteen. I think if the Redskins realy are going after him they wont wait for thirteen. They will wait till the Jags pick and try to trade ip to get him. It is not in our nature to wait on a pick.

Didn't we wait last year, and then when our pick was gone, we traded down? I see that same scenario this year, and this talk of Sanchez is just smoke and mirrors - i hope.

Yeah, but last year they said from day one that they wanted to trade down. This year they said they want to trade down, but they have shown an awful lot of interest in Sanchez. They also have shown that that are not in love with Campbell. The Redskins run their organization, kind of like the Mofia. Once they decide they dont like you they get rid of you. The only guy, I ever saw that did not happen to immediatly was Springs. I think it was because they just had no alternative, what so ever.

I just went through the Washington Times website and didn't find the story. Are you thinking of the Mel Kiper mock draft? Come on man, I know you hate JC, but at least give us a link or something.

Hey, I dont hate JC. I think he is the best role model and just a stand up guy. If the Redskins dont get rid of him, and he does well I would be the first to jump on the band wagon. With that said, I just dont think that he has the talent to lead us to the Superbowl. Even when we were 6-2, I was still skeptical. We were scoring field goals to win games that we should have blown open. I taped every game, and because I am neurotic watched them over and over again. The problem was not realy the O-Line, it was JC could not find the open reciever fast enough. Also, his dump off passes are inacurrate much of time. I think JC is a vertical passer. He is not siuted for the west coast system. Anyway, here is the link.

SmootSmack 04-13-2009, 02:37 PM Why don't we actually read the story in the Washington Times?
H.D. Woodson alum Byron Leftwich has agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He left offers from Pittsburgh (he was a Steelers backup QB last year) and the Redskins (offered the veteran minimum last weekend) on the table.
Leftwich wants to start the Bucs give him the best chance. Josh McCown is the only candidate to start. In Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger is the franchise starter; with the Redskins, Jason Campbell is the starter and Leftwich probably figured Jim Zorn would be patient with Campbell.
There aren't a lot of veterans on the market so the Redskins might be forced to stick with Todd Collins as the back up and Colt Brennan as the third stringer entering camp.
But there's one thing that could change the complexion of everything.
His name is Mark Sanchez.
If he's still on the board at No. 13, will Dan Snyder -- who tried to deal Campbell last week to Denver for Jay Cutler -- choose the USC passer and start over (again)?
It's possible. I don't think Sanchez will be on the board when the Redskins pick. San Francisco and Denver should have an interest.
