I'm sure he would like to finish his playing days in Miami. If this where to happen...it would burn just a little more about his lack of product last season and yes mostly due to injury. But the lost draft picks....OUCH! Especially the second rounder this year.

Could Jason Taylor Return To Dolphins? (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/29/could-jason-taylor-return-to-dolphins/)

Although it’s widely believed in NFLhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) circles that the relationship between the Miami Dolphins and veteran defensive end Jason Taylor eroded to the point of no return last year, the coldness has apparently thawed.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Taylor and V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells have mended fences (http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/972899.html) to the point where Taylor potentially rejoining the Dolphins after spending last season with the Washington Redskins following a high-profile trade is no longer out of the question.
Taylor and Parcells reportedly are on good terms now, chatting at a local country club since the trade.
And the Dolphins could definitely use a pass rusher to work in tandem with outside linebacker Joey Porter.
As the article noted, though, Taylor would probably have to commit to attending offseason workouts for a formal reconciliation to be negotiated.
Taylor has also been mentioned as a strong free agent possibility for the New England Patriotshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#). Also, Taylor is friends with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

If this happens, I just picture in my head Bill Parcells laughing and giving us the middle finger. Hey, we'll lend you Taylor for one year, 3 sacks, $8M, a few injuries, and your 2nd rounder in '09, and we'll go ahead and take him back when gets healthy, and you'll still have major question marks at DE. Ugh.

Could we eventually get a compensation pick next year if Taylor had a good season?

Get over it people. If he's not working out in the offseason, I'm sure he'll have the same health problems he had here last season. With that said, he'll probably end up with New England.
