Well, they used the wildcat with a lot of success, but Pennington was outstanding last year with limited talent at receiver. They have a very good veteran QB, and a defense that improved despite losing Jason Taylor, a good O-line, and a good running game.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong about the cap space. I don't know exactly where they stood last year at this time, but other than Taylor they didn't make any huge moves money-wise. And they entered FA this year $32M UNDER the cap.

Parcells wanted extra draft picks more than cap room.

EDIT: The Dolphins entered FA last year $44M UNDER the cap. So yeah, trading Taylor had nothing to do with Parcells wanting more cap sapce.

I thought it was a good move for us at the time as well. In hindsight though, we got robbed.

I wasn't crazy about the move but I could understand the thinking behind it. Either way we got screwed. :Flush:
