Nflnick11 04-14-2009, 04:48 PM Yeah, no kidding. That poor boy might go early but also might hang around the green room for some time. No offense to him but I can't understand why they chose him to invite. They may have set him up for torture.
Because the NFL network also shows the draft and Cushing is one of the three players they have been following in the the players path to the draft (stafford and crabtree are the other two)

Hey Rey, I'm curious to hear about your visit to Redskins park last week and how that went. As both a USC fan and a 'Skins fan, I'd be pumped to get you at #13.

Hey Andy. I had the opportunity to meet the coaches and everbody at the Senior Bowl and at the combine, and then a couple of days before the USC Pro Day again we went to dinner. Then when I went out to visit, I saw them again. The visit went great. I hung out wiht the LB coach, he's a great guy, and it was a very comfortable place. I went well. I left a lot of smiling faces.
If they chose me at No. 13, I would feel blessed and they'd get a great player. I'd be happy.

I'm not sure that I understand the point of this. He said what every potential draftee says. It's all draftee puppet talk. Did I miss something?

Wouldn't be hilarious if one of them said, 'Well the GM seems like a dope and the coach is a tool but the cheerleaders are hot so if they drafted me it wouldn't completely suck.'
To answer the topic question though, it's Maualuga for me. He's got bad-ass written all over him and the thought of him and Landry cracking skulls on the defense for the next 8 years makes me very happy.

Can you imagine a player visiting a team like Minny or Buffalo and saying..."man it's f'ing cold here, I would hate it if I had to live here!". LOL.

:laughing2 I would laugh my a** off! Remembering how much fear ST put into players, the thought of Landry and Maualuga collecting heads would be something I would look forward to every game. Maualuga has the "nasty-mean" attitude I like in a LB. He could put our defense on another level.
