obviously the QBs never felt comfortable. they both played rattled after the first drive. Portis never saw daylight, without a lead blocker or some linemen down field he literally ran into walls.

Actually Portis did see the light of day. His 21 yard run was just 2 yards short of the 1st down marker. But if Brunell doesn't get sacked, we get the first down.

Just got finished watching the highlights again and all I have to say is "What the S**t!!!!" I was hoping a little time would make it easier but nope.

you mean LOWlights. you'd think Williams could tell Gibbs what plays beat the blitz, its like the two sides of the team are TOO autonomous. so much for 'max protect'. ugh, i didnt see one designed screen or draw, NOR did i see any of receivers get separation from the same guys Eagles made bitches out of a week ago. this game was a litmus test and we failed. this whole season is gonna be a work in progress.

man, the PATIENCE required to be a Skins fan!

yeah man against a prevent defense. Portis needs to find cracks in 8 man fronts, not 3. i dont blame him, not even for the fumbles, hes not a fumbler. our Oline just isnt doing whats asked of them is all.

Anyone think Gibbs need to implement the shotgun although he never uses it. It was a Cowboys play afterall?

I think that the Redskins will phase Gardner out and replace him with Taylor Jacobs and or McCants.

At quarterback, Ramsey is a good guy who isn’t prepared to lead our team in my opinion. If Brunell’s mobility is seriously limited, then Tim Hasselbeck will find his way into the lineup before long. I think Hasselbeck is our best hope for injecting needed dynamism into our offense. We need a quarterback who not only avoids critical mistakes but provides electric leadership and inspiring play. I think Hasselbeck will rise to the occasion given an opportunity.

We can become an excellent playoff contender if we phase in Hasselbeck, and Jacobs and/or McCants.

shane, hasselbeck has more ints than TDs, unlike either brunell or ramsey... minus one preseason game against 3rd stringers, he hasn't really lit anything up...

he not only makes critical mistakes, he doesn't provide either electric leadership or inspiring play.

Gardner may be in trouble: we actually have decent WR depth, I think, and Gibbs does not tolerate drops. BUt Hasselbeck just isn't up to the level, I think. Remember last year vs. Dallas. And let's not go crazy! One loss and we want to cut the whole team? C'mon! A little faith in the coaching staff!!! Only by playing together can our team get chemistry. Gotta take our lumps, move on and grow. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Exactly JWSleep. It's just one game. If we had won today should we be realistically talking about the Super Bowl and even challenging the '72 Dolphins record? Of course not, so why are panicking after one loss?
