Hey guys Im a newbie on the board and I have a question for those of you that used the Redskins burgundy paint from home depot. I painted my skins room using this paint and after two coats of primer and five coats of the paint it still looks purple. I took it back and they remixed it for free...but the new paint now looks pinkish! If you have any advice on matchin our color, I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to eventually hang jerseys on the wall and I want it to match.

Take the jersey into Lowes or Home Depot and they can match the paint to it. For a dark color you're going to need to do some serious priming. They can tint the primer for you too. Get quality paint and primer, it makes a difference.

I tried taking in a jersey and they said the color was too inconsistent for their computer to match. It seems like the million skins things I had were all different shades of burgundy. My wife says I should just live with it, but man its been a dream of mine since I was a kid and I just want it to be right. Im also eventually goin with a black olhausen table with either burgundy or wine cloth....but it all hinges on the paint color. Also how can I post a pic on here? Thanks again guys.

Have you tried Sherwin Williams?

My advice (having painted almost every house I've lived in) is to try Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. They tend to do a better job and have more trained paint experts than Home Depot or Lowes. If I'm just painting white or a casual color, I'll go with the cheap stuff, but if I really care about the exact shade or am having difficulty covering the bottom coat, the smaller paint stores do a much better job (albeit typically a bit more expensive).
I wouldn't worry about getting the burgundy perfect, as long as you're in the ballpark it's going to look just fine.

You said it GM!!!! That is crazy!!!!! Cooley did a great job, but Summo has practically everything that you can find Redskins in his room.
