Is 16 points going to be enough this week?

I am not really sure. The defense actually didn't allow TB to score on them last week at all. Both scores were a result of poor play by the offense (fumble return for a TD) and special teams (50 + yard return that put them in field goal range). I haven't checked the stats, but if I do, I am sure the Skins will be near the bottom of the list for allowed return yards. Their Special Teams were HORRIBLE! If the Skins Offense and Special Teams don't play well, I see a tough win for them.

Defensively speaking however, the Skins, who allowed the fewest yards last week in the NFL against the Giants Defense who allowed the most yards in the NFL. Without a question the Skins Defense if far better, but can they hold the Giants Offense back. The Giants have more offensive weapons (in my opinion) than the Bucks do. And this will be a tough test for them.

Offensively the skins need to spread the ball around more. Running the C-trey is getting to be predictable and the skins need to mix it up more. They are paying Brunell a bunch, so let him earn it. The coaching staff needs to step up too (Joe Gibbs included) Not challenging the spot of the ball on the 3rd drive (I think it was 3rd) was a HUGE mistake. That would have given them 1st and goal on the 1 yd line and possibility of a 14 point lead. What are they paying that guy up in the booth for if they aren't going to use him.

All in all, if the Offense steps up this week and the Special Teams tighten up, it should be an easy win. However, if they don't, then they will be relying on the Defense to win the game for them AGAIN!

Post your opinions..

GO SKINS!!!!

I think the counter tre works just fine....It worked for Gibbs in his first stint as Redskins coach...Not challenging the call seemed odd but after the game it was undestood that the tv angles weren't good enough to overturn the call. I trust Gibbs with that...I agree with you on special teams.

I expect the Offense to pile up the points against a weak secondary.

Our D will shut 'em down.

I hate to say it but go with Tiki

Do I take a chance with Shaun Alexander or go with Kevin Jones against Houston. I'm leaning towards Jones

well it doesn't seem like 16 points is going to be enough. They are down by 17 now.

Once again, I think the coaches blew another replay call. From what I saw, the receiver stepped out of bounds and then came back into catch it. The ref even threw his hat in agreement then changed his mind after talking with the other officials. How much are the Giants paying the officials?

The counter trey isn't working. The defense has sniffed it out most of the time and even forced a fumble on one of them. The skins need to untilize their play action. The Giants Secondary is playing soft.

Like I said in my previous post..the skins offense definitely needs to step up and once again the defense is going to have to win the game for them by holding the Giants Offense to 0 points in the 2nd half. That is the only way they are going to win.
