CRedskinsRule 03-23-2009, 11:23 AM Where's Redskin One?
California at the owners meetings. ( no doubt working on 5 team trades sending every current Redskin to other teams while bringing Mason Mann and McMullen back)

I'm going to start a rumor that I'm doing a private workout for the Redskins...I can see the headlines: "Redskins hold private work out for 30 yr old out of shape guy"
BigHairedAristocrat 03-23-2009, 12:06 PM Sanchez is definitely my favorite of the QBs in the draft this year, but i dont think we are any more likely to take Sanchez in the draft as we were to take jamarcus russell when we worked him out two years ago.
Given the alleged lack of confidence the team has in Campbell, the idea that we may draft Sanchez only encourages other treams to trade up to have a shot at him... which gives us the opportunity to trade down.
Hopefully, we'll stay at 13 and draft Oher if he's there. The dude could start immediately and by 2010 at the latest, take over at LT and let Samuels slide over to RT.
freddyg12 03-23-2009, 12:17 PM When they worked out J. Russell a couple years ago, what I thought was they were doing their "due diligence," as others have said.
What's the long-term impact of due diligence? You never know when one of these guys is available in a trade, free agency, surprise cut, etc. a few years down the road. It's good to have an early report.
Teams are always scouting for the future even if they're not going to draft the guy. By being at his pro day they get a sense of what he's about, and can critique his game in a way they not likely not get another chance to.

I knew there was intelligent life on this planet.
jenksredskins 03-23-2009, 12:53 PM Hail Skins! this is my first post. Been a fan for 45 years, seen both good times and bad, and I must say that this year is potentially one to favorably look back on. Love our owner for spending the money (yeah I said it) and not impressed with Vinny Cerrato. Nearly had a fit that they cut Marcus Mason (guy ran his a** off last preseason breaking tackles). Ravens picked him up asap and put him on their taxi squad. I cannot for the life of me understand why they don't monitor Ravens players (known for defense and knocking your head off) to pickup front seven help. I root for the Ravens when not playing us and my feeling is that if they let you go late in preseason or for cap reasons you need to be ready to take close look. Redskin teams have been famous for missing tackles against the run. Thank God for London Fletcher or it would be a disaster. We have a decent defense but it all starts up front and have seen no rush pressure other than Dexter who made Charles Mann shine. Ya heard me? On the offensive side of the ball,(about to piss some people off) I would try to try trick someone to take Cooley (his blocking is pathetic and it is not all because of his size) to really get some help for this team. By the way, I also think he is too slow. Zorn better be able to adapt his offense to his players (as a whole I think we are too slow and do not use the few muscle pass catchers we have to our advantage) or the game will pass him by like Joe Gibbs (yeah I said it). QB Collins and SS Doughty need to go to free up space for talent. God help Vinny on draft day because I think our scouting is very weak (look at what N England staff and spinoffs have been doing the past few years even though I think that bad tuck rule call against the Raiders launched their success sooner. You cannot deny that they have a smart staff and scouting system. As hard as I root against Dallas, I have the utmost respect for their scouts and player talent. We have pretty much been dodging bullets for years. Eagles get the most out of modest talent and Giants are dangerous as well. Later! Hail Skins!
