With all of the rumors circulating around Jay Cutler, and the ridiculous rumors surrounding a trade involving the Skins, it occured to me. Zorn may have already hand picked his future QB in the 6th round of the 2008 NFL draft. Two points:
1). A trade for Cutler isn't at all feasible. Forget Campbell (who still has potential), the prospect of trading Cooley or Landry (two of our dynasty's building blocks) in order to get a trade done is outlandish and will never happen.
2). More importantly. Zorn built his NFL reputation on the fact that he groomed a raw and unknown 6th round QB into a perennial pro-bowler. His first draft as head coach, he selected a QB in the 6th round who others considered raw, Colt Brennan.
BTW- Brennan just happens to hold numerous NCAA passing records and played in a pass happy offense. He posess excellent accuracy, a necessity in the WCO.
Who else thinks Brennan will subplant JC is we stumble next season?
