Is it really a battle when Colt is involved? Couldn't we just call it a submission?

Fair point...can we say they "spar" for the starting job?

We'll just say that PW will graciously move to WR in '10 as not to prevent The Champion from taking His crown.

Pat white is a waste of a pick IMO...and sidbury would be a need so he shouldn be mentioned in this thread ( but I really want him in the 3-5 round range)

I made a mistake in bringing up Sidbury and Barwin.

Ironically, I read that some teams are looking at Barwin as a TE.

yeah i go w/ Peria Jerry. Hopefully we could simultaneously work out a Golston/Monty trade for a 2nd round pick to address OT or LB and still get a competitive player. The d-line would be off the hook.

You wouldn't want to deal both, even in a hypothetical, because both play the nose and Haynesworth is going to miss some (or many) snaps. The problem we currently face is that we really only have Griffin to play the 3 technique. Montgomery can do it but is better suited to the nose. Jerry would give us a dynamic player to get quick pressure up the middle (especially with the attention to Haynesworth). Ideally I think you'd move Golston, but you're not getting a 2nd, probably more like a 5th/6th (and then maybe you have to ask if you are going to be able to replace the value you get from Golston).

I actually think Jerry would be a good pick even if you weren't barred from taking DE, OL, or LB. If the Jason Smith, Eugene Monroe, Michael Oher, Everette Brown, Brian Orakpo, and Aaron Curry are gone I'd go Jerry and come back in the 3rd at OL.
