Now who else can mimmick Brian Westbrook better on the scout team O before we play Philly than Byron? What would we do without him?

In all seriousness he was on the practice squad and really wasn't affecting our active roster all too much. Maybe I'm biased because I played with and against his older brother at DeMatha, but I still like him.

He's on the roster now. I'd rather have a LB of equal or higher quality in his spot going into camp.

Point taken, but I believe that he has another year at least of practice squad eligibility.

I'm not sure if he does. A player can only spend 3 years on the PS but only 2 on the same teams PS unless that teams active roster never dipped below the 53 man limit.

In all honesty I've been thinking about this question/thread since we saw our cap space tighten up a bit. I suppose there could be other reasons for cutting a player as well :D so all things considered, if you got to choose one player to erase from the roster who would he be?

Any player that would create cap room w/o bringing down team performance.
I would need to know the cap figures to make a suggestion.

Wynn, Thrash, Betts, in that order. Betts is the only one worth a darn and he makes the most money so if we needed cap room he is the choice. If we need to free a roster spot..Wynn and Thrash are next hopefully.

I'm in agreement for Rabach too.

Please no one give me hell.

Yeah, I gotta go Rabach too. He frees up a good amount of cap space without costing too much. We most likely could upgrade through the draft. He seems to have slowed down, and I just don't think he creates enough of a push up the middle.

For the FA gurus out there... what center(s) might become available after the draft who would be an upgrade over Rabach. I'm just thinking if we don't get Mack then somebody else will, along w/ Unger, and that should put some C talent on the market.

... cuz yeah of every potential cut mentioned in this thread erasing Rabach saves us the most money.

What about Smoot? He plays 10-12 yards off the line, he is an automatic first down. His cap number is over 4mil. It seems easier to find a 3rd corner than a starting center.
